Does anybody know how long after your subscription end before your char gets deleted?

I bought the game and played for a bit when it opened, then cancelled my sub for six monthsdue to deployment. Got back, started paying my 15 buck a month, and there was my character (after a lengthy patch download, of course).

So if you cancel your subscription your char wont get deleted? Hmmm...wiggy. Thanks! ^_^

The official announcement is three months but if they don't need character space for new accounts and such it probably won't be deleted then either.

They won't delete a single account before SE comes out b/c they're relying on people coming back when it comes out.

Awesome! This is something I've been wondering because I might have to cancel my subscription when I go on vacation. Now I know I'll be safe for at least a little while if I do.
Ah.... something else slightly off-topic... will you be able to make a Jedi character on the same server as the one you got it? Such as if my Chilastra character unlocked the FSCS, could I play the FS on Chilastra and my other servers that I play on?

I emailed SOE a couple months ago, they confirmed that characters do not get deleted whatsoever until further notice.
Like one of you suggested, that won't change until the Space Expansion because that will truly revolutionize SWG and lots of people are bound to come back.

I just purchased the expansion, i want to make an ithorian character but my guild leader wants some reassurance first
If i delete my character, make a new character, and get it to politician, will the city hall disappear? i was under the assumption this would not happen, it did not happen on euro-infinity a few months ago.
Anyone have some info please

From what I've heared in multiple posts here... if you delete the mayor character the city and all it's civic buildings will be deleted

Hmm. will it wait till the next city update to delete the city or will it be immediate?

The way I understood the posts it deletes immediatly. I've read more than one posts from citizens complaining that their mayor quit his account and deleted the character and the city was then deleted ... without mentioning city update times, so I'm not sure ... I only know that I wouldn't want to try it out
