a lot of ppl talkand complain about how a combat char can easilyearn millions in a days work, not even a day. it doesnt take long to get yourself an elite combat profession than head to dantooine. a combat char doesnt ever have to be anything else but combat. you cant say the same thing about a crafter orpurely entertainer type.
destroy missions are a wonderful thing combat ppl have available to them. what about the people who would like to play and avoid fighting? we have joke missionsand i do mean utter trash. i was curious one day and took a mission to build six adv protocol droid chassis' from an npc. again i completed the order cause i was curious and i received 210 credits for my efforts and 126 pts of exp. wow i thought, wow. not only did i not make enough money for even a shuttle ticket, i lost moneycause the resources are worth more than that.
when i first started, i picked up the rifle and became a rifleman and made good money then moved to crafting. i wonder how it would have been if i did it the other way around. no actually i dont wonder, i know it would have been hell. you dont really sell things as a crafter till you master and how do you master? you need money to buy things to grind or you have to gather them yourself.however harvesters dont pay their own maintenance or power so in short starting off as a craftertakes more money than a fighter but fighters make money a hell of a lot faster and easier.
anyway i just think that we should strike a better balance between missions for all professionsthat arent able to destroy things. the missions dont have to make them millionaires but at least earn them enough to own a house! or pay for their harvesters.

Totally agree, some of the crafting professions do make a lot of money, but as you said, only at master even the noobs will mainly try and buy from a master because of the difference in quality. (not seen anyone in bone armour for months). At current state you have to either go combat first or have a good guild behind you to bank roll your learning curve.
best thing i can think of is to adjust the crafting mission rewards to reflect the economies to start with (if it doesn't cover the resources no-one will bother),
its very difficult to do anything with the selling of goods, ppl will buy the best they can afford, and that will usually be from a master. only thing i can think of is if the masters only made the higher end equipment, and so novice will sell lower to those that are in training and havn't unlocked the certifications. But this is going to be near impossible to enforce fairly.

Agreed, I did things the hard way. Went weaponsmith and did things all myself. Had to play as a combat guy to pay for it. Well after I hit master I could afford to drop combat and go double crafter master.
