I had no trouble generating it and adding it to datapad. You can only use it from datapad in starport at starships terminals

I bought a scyk fighter and exactly the same problem, click on "Generate Ship" from the radial menu, and.... Nothing.

What do you have? Blueprints? Did you take it to the chassis dealer? If the ship is already in your datapad, you should be able to use it when at a starship terminal.

I've got the chassis from the chassis dealer in the starport, and I'm a privateer 1/0/0/0 pilot, so technically I qualify for the Dunelizard, but just figured I'd outfit a Scyk.
Ships still in chassis form, nothing happens when I click hold on it and choose "Generate Ship". It stays in my inventory, and does't pop into my datapad.
I was going to get it onto the ship management terminal so I could start adding gear to it over time but oh well...

I'm having the same problem with my first ever non-starter ship, a Dunelizard.
I did the missions for Tier 1 Freelance (RSF all the way) and trained 1/0/0/0 so I could use a new fighter. Bought the blueprint for the Dunelizard, took to chassis dealer, got the chassis/deed, now it does nothing.
Customer Service says log a /bug but I dunno. I'm going to try with a Scyk (if I can find a seller).

Are you in the same city as the Chassis Dealer? Just checking to make sure. I remember having a Chassis made and then flying to a different planet. After arriving I went to generate ship and it was listed as being located in the original city. Not sure which way it goes now in Live, they may have changed it so you have to be in the same city. Just something to check also.

I just got a new dune lizard chassis to work, so it's something with the Scyk I bought. Oh well, Guess I'll outfit my new Dune Lizard instead.
Great bug this is, /sigh
