Okay for those that don't know, Sony's games all use the same chat system. You can send a tell to a player in EQ by typing /tell EQ.Servername.Playername and it goes right through. Same thing for EQ2 as well. You can also creat SWG specific Cross-server chats using /chatroom join SWG.Servername.Chatroomname. So on a lark we tried to create a cross-server, cross-game chat channel! The EQ2 folks hosted, the EQ1 folks joined no problem. Sadly using our command /chatroom join EQ2.Servername.Chatroomname gives no feedback, and also does not join the channel.
Anyone have any suggestions? Given that it worked between EQ1 and EQ2 I get the feel that we could get this running, but that I'm making some silly mistake. Would be an awesome tool for multigame guilds if we can figure it out.
