Xaerth's Ship Component Guide
Stats
Mass - Crafted on the ship chassis. Higher mass is wanted on the chassis, lower amount wanted on the components. If you have a higher amount of mass inside the ship than the chassis can take, it won't work.
Reactor Energy Drain - You want your reactor to have a high amount of this, the rest of the components to have low. It's just like the mass, higher the drain, the less effective your ship will be.
Hit Points - How much it can take damage it takes in battle. When these take damage, it becomes less useful. Ex: 100% of Engine A can go at a speed of 10. 50% can go at a speed of 5. Etc.
Armor - How much of a beating it can take before losing hit points.
Components
Main Reactor - Generates Reactor Energy.
Engine - Speed which you cruise at, turning and rolling ability.
Sheild - Similar to armor, allows you to take damage without damaging components. Recharges over time. Shows how much of a beating the front/rear can take without damaging armor.
Armor - Allows you to take damage without damaging components. DOES NOT recharge over time. Shows how much of a beating the front/rear can take without damaging items.
Capacitor - Ammo and recharge rate for lasers.
Booster - Adds mobility/speed to the engine temporarily. Enable with B (by default).
Droid Interface - Allows you to use your droid commands.
Weapon - Lasers to attack other ships. Uses capacitor ammo. Min-Max damage, multiplied by the shield or armor modifiers to damage other ships.
Ordnance - Missles. You need to have a launcher as well as a pack.
Countermeasure - Anti-Missles pack. Releases items to counterattack the missles, not always successful. They release rather late, as well.
Droid/Flight Computer - Allows you to use your droid commands.
Maybe not too useful to you, but many have asked me about components.

Helpful to me.
Anybody have some stats/charts for the base/good stats for all parts? It'd help a lot.

I can give you my current component stats, they are very good. Most of em are tier 1 too.

I would like to see what stats on items should be high & whats stats on items, should be low, a lot of the items have a lot of different stats, and unsure how to compare 2 items, to see which one is better......a breakdown of individual component types wouls be good.....
e.g. Weapons
Armor
Hitpoints
Reactor Energy Drain
Mass
Damage
Vs Shields
Vs Armor
Energy/Shot
Refire Rate
what ones of these are people looking for a low number and what ones are they looking for a high number.....I have the same problem with most of the more complex components, should certain stats be high, or certain stats be low
Any advice would be appreciate
