I am new at this obviously, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers to becoming a good scout. Right now all I have been doing on Naboo is going around killing animals, dont know how to harvest them, and also doing jobs for some people. I notice my pistol points going up etc. I was wondering how I gain skills. Thanks

Okay- here goes:

As a scout, you should pick up another profession. I picked Marksman so i could kill easier. (go to marksman trainer and become novice marksman for 100 cred)

Then go out and hunt harvest hunt harveat hunt harvest...u get the point.

How to Harvest: 2 ways

1) Use mouse to click on kill until radial dial appears. It will say harvest select that then harvest hide or bone or meat will appear. Click one and there u go. You can only harvest one type per kill.

2) Go to the third button form the right in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, commands and abilities something like that. create macro's : select an icon name it hide or bone etc. then in each one type the text /harvest bone or /harvest hide etc. once these are created drag them into the tool bar for easy access.

Once you get enuff hide and bones use your GCT (general crafting tool) from your inventory (ctrl i) and make some traps. Use the traps to raise your trapping xp.

head out 1000m from town to employ your camp. There you can rest, heal, get high...whatever you want.

Being a scout is almost fully self sufficient.

Just you and Mother Nature, and Mr. Death of course.

Visit any NPC called "<name> Trainer". You can type "/find" and click on any of the trainers listed in that window to be shown where they are.

Can player scouts teach other scouts new skills like hunting 2 or exploration 3? Instead of having to pay a scout trainer to do it.

Yes Wookiecommander, I can teach any skill that I know. The only ones that can not be tought are the Novice skills.

Yes, other players can teach you any skills they know, other than the base skills like Novice Artisan, Novice Marksman, Novice Pistoleer. Those you have to buy from the appropriate NPC trainers.
