Hello everyone,
This is a plead with the community. Since becoming a jedi I have tuned close to 50 crystals and 5 pearls, all of which have been poor tunes with the exception of 2. What I am going to ask is going to get flamed and I expect that from some of you (as you will have no idea how crystal tuning works.) So here goes.
Please can everyone stop inflating the prices of crystals. Pearls I can understand the cost, but crystals are not worth 1mil for a premium. The reason I say this is simple, when you have tuned a poor crystal and recieved a better tune than a premium you get a little annoyed.
So to all jedi & wannabe jedi please lets start getting the prices down on these items.

I'd say the premiums on your server dont cost much at all they are going for 5-7 mil on gorath.

No they cost the same, the point I am trying to make is that there is no point paying 5 - 7mil for a pearl which might only tune for 25 - 50 damage and a FC of -1 to -7.
I have started dealing with players that will sell the crystal or pearl to me based on the outcome of the tune. So for example I pay 50k for a crystal no matter what the outcome, then once I have tuned the item depending on the outcome I then pay the worth of the actual tune.
I just wish they hadnt changed the system for pearls and crystals, that way a jedi can see what they are getting instead of buying something which could cost 5mil and be a useless bit of crap.

1. how can i trust you
2.why give it to you for less money than i can sell it for?
just buy quality or select crystals...theyre cheaper and have almost the same effect.

I have a trust relationship with a lot of players on Sunrunner, if this was not so then they wouldnt sell to me.
I have an alt for crystal and pearl hunting but it gets boring doing the same thing over and over again.
I can see some of you think that I am in this for a fast free buck, I wish this was true, all I want is the prices to fall or for the Devs to fix Tuning, until this happens paying 1 - 8mil for these items is pointless and I just wish everyone could understand this.

prices will always be this high until the jedi player base stops paying that much for the crystals/pearls. If all, or most, jedi start refusing to pay large sums of credits for premium crystals, then the price will drop. But, unfortunately, I don't see this happening........though I wish it would.

Premium crystals are just as hard to aquire as Krayt Pearls.

The problem is that NS Edler got stealth nerfed. They are twice as hard to kill as before the last Pub ( I am not talking about when they got specials back). The do non stop Debilitate and KD. On top of this thier loot rate have gone way down. 90% of them (this is real number as I have killed alot) are only droping credits NOT even crappy lances anymore.
The cost of hunting NS is very high also. You can very easy waste an entire set armor and nicely sliced weapon in one buff sesion.
It suck that alot of them tune very poorly, but us non Jedi cant even tell the crystals quality.
The price is not set by me. I put them up for auction with a min bid and a buy out. They are almost always bought out before the end of of the day let the end of the auction. So is the B/O to low or are they truely worth that much?

bbjfsu you are a master of crystal hunting I understand everything you have said. Jedi maybe able to see the stats on crystals but only once we have tuned them. Without tuning they just show us the quality of the crystal, and this stat is pointless to all players. The value of these items should be based on the tuned stats not the quality or condition, now I know I am adding fuel to the fire with this comment, but since the Devs arent going to change the tuning system in the near future (and why should they as the jedi have had to much love) something needs to be sorted out.
1 Idea I had was this: The seller sells his crystal via the same methods they are used to but at the fraction of the price, when the trade is complete the buyer tunes the crystal and gives it to another jedi (friend of seller if possible) to verify its stats & worth. The seller then takes more money or gives a refund, the jedi verifer then gives the Buyer the crystal back once money has changed hands.
I know this is a risky solution but as yet I cant think of a better solution.

PS bbjfsu those 7 good crystals I bought from you, I tuned and all came out with no better than -3 forcecost

I wasnt really against your post, just stating some facts from the looters end. I agree it sucks to buy crystal only to have them tune poorly. The system you state for tuned qualty pricing may work on lower quality crystals and pearls. But people are to willing to take the gamble on high qualty ones.
Talk to me in game if want to set up deal on the lower quality ones.

lol, elders are no harder to kill than they were before. 1 in 5 drops a premium for me.
