For the past few months Ive been encountering this very very annoying problem concerning the bestine elections. Back during the summer, I was curious of what reward I would get if I gave the data disk that would have made Trenwell look bad due to a scandal (remember the quests where you had to give the disk to the slicer to wipe, etc?)

Yeah well, I did it...and that screwed me over for the next fewmonths...and what reward did I get? a Crappy proton grenade (funny that im a commando heh...)

Anyways, every election, every day, every minute...Sean wont let me talk to him so I can join his campaign to vote for him...he keeps saying that I was untrustworthy and sends me away.

For a while now Ive been postponing asking about this, hoping maybe it'll reset when Victor *finally* wins...well he won! And...sean still is mad at me.

Now, can anyone help me with this? Ive missed out on getting that wonderful ornate rug for too long now!! If its something easy (maybe I can vote for him without joining his campaign, but if it was that easy...I prolly already tried it, and wouldnt be here right now)

Can anyone help??

is there a guide anywhere that describes the way this works. Im yet to figure it out

I have been having issues with the election too. The first week the elections took place, I voted for victor and he won. I got a necklace. Every election thereafter, I vote for him, he wins but he says, summed up "I won't give you another reward, don't be greedy"...This is really, really annoying and kills the potential piece of content the devs put it. I have faith, so the next election, I vote for him, he wins and says the same thing....no reward.

Please, tiggs/TH/JustG/GreenMarine/Everyone else.....

Is the fact he will not give me another reward a bug? Or is this on purpose and we are only supposed to get one piece of reward period. I really, really, really, really want a imperial banner. If this is a bug, can it please be addressed so we can keep this content going?

Just a guess, but maybe talk to the guy behind Eisley cantina to "reset" your missions/quests for Tatooine.

if you vote for the same person twice or more in a row you dont get a reward from them or atleast thats what i heard and as for the sean issue never knew you could hand the data disc in else were lol. as the post above said try them dudes they will reset every quest you have done on tatoonie even jabba's place.

This is something I must have said a dozen times on various forums here, especially on the Starsider forum which is the server I play on, but I will say it again...

I am not sure if it is a bug that you can only get a gift the first time you vote for someone, but logic will tell you that if you alternate the candidatethat gets elected each time(Sean->Victor->Sean->Victor->etc.)you will ALWAYS GET A GIFT since the candidate will think you are voting for him for the first time. Granted not everyone wants an Imperial flag for example and would probably prefer a rug, but in the interest of the community as a whole each server needs to get synchronized and alternate their votes so that everyone will always be assured a gift.

This is something I tried to organize on Starsider, but to my dismay Victor has been elected for a second term. ARGHH! People need to understand this is counter-productive and they are really just hurting themselves when they want to get gifts in the future.

There is a thread in the database in the in-game holocron on one of the questions here. It appears that each mayor has three possible rewards for his voters (I have yet to discover what the third reward is for either).

So, if the person you voted for wins, you return to him for your gift. If you vote for this NPC again and he wins a second time and you go to collect your reward and you roll the same reward (e.g. you got the banner and you roll the banner again), you receive the message you already got it. This goes on until you roll one of the other two rewards and then, presumably, you will get the other one.

I also betrayed Sean and have no idea if this ever resets.

Hmm...well 1) I already had to reset the tat mission stuff, can only do that once...2) Not gonna re-roll my 17 month year old character lol!

Ill look into the holocron...or try and find a way to vote for him without joining his campaign, or something! Hopefully ill find out something...since there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer to this....If I can get it to work, or find something out...ill post in this thread...
