For the past 30 minutes I have been trying to name an object, but everytime I attempt to cut and paste a name in, I get this idiotic message.....

"You have named your object a reserved word. Please try another name."

Now I am using normal everyday words, it contains no swearing names in this object, nothing untoward that I can see, yet whatever I try to name it, I get the same stupid message (which is grammatically incorrect btw SOE).

So has someone, somewhere, at sometime, found a list of these mythical and magical words that SOE in their infinite wisdom have reserved for some anarchical reason/rite/nerfarious purpose?

Please, before I go out of my mind.

I tried chatting Merry Christmas and it came out Merry %#$%*#&^. The filters are a little too repressive. Go figure.

Hmmm, my guess would be that you are trying to name something similar to an exsiting Star Wars character... for example you can't use Luke, or Han as names, or even a part of a name.

You also can not use numbers on some items. I have found that the RE naming window will not let you use numbers, and you can not use them in the name of droids.

Try Merry Xmas. And yes, they are a bit Orwellspeak.

Cruising around Talus before the great spawn nerf, I killed a devil gulginaw, and apparently "devil" is also on that list, because it said I killed a ($*%($&^%)$ gulginaw. So even the programmers get caught by this idiotic reserved word list.

SWG is a lot like the Nicotrol System.

With each patch, you're that much closer to quitting.
