Thread: Need some help from the PvE Gods.

Looks like a pretty good template in comparison to other PvE tanks I know. Only thing I would add is to acquire a scythe as soon as you can afford it. The PH is good, but the scythe is kinetic instead of the PH's blast, so you have a choice for damage type depending upon the resists.

Defense stacking is heavily overrated for PVE, while it serves some purpose in PvP and low-end PvE, it has not the faintest meaning in 'high end PvP' (been there, done that. A nightsister elder misses as rarely when hitting someone with a stacker template as when hitting a mere swordsman with almost no melee defense). I'd advise to master swordsman and then put the leftover skillpoints in something actually useful, Master Doc maybe.

there's no ranged mitigation in that template, but it looks like you have 0040 pistoleer factored in (judging by the skill points)
one thing to note, melee and ranged defense is not that important for the high end mobs, but state defenses are. here's a slightly modified version of your template that i found on the swordsman forums
master swords
master brawler
fencer 0440
pistoleer 0040
medic 2000
combat prowess 0034
edit: now this with a +3 2h speed tape will speed cap you so you can use a nice acklay hammer

doctor 0040
fs melee speed
fs melee accuracy
fs luck
1 skill point left over. you get speed cap with a scythe, high level heal state packs, massive heals, and throw in luck with the extra skill points just because

Okay, here's the deal. I've been looking into my own little uber PvE Template and my eyes are set on everything from enraged rancor to Nightsisters. The power of the def stacker was finally revealed to me a while back by a man named sword. When he basically soloed Mellichae, I was hooked. Now keep in mind I'm a low income character, but this is what I've come up with.
Master Brawler / Master Swordsman / Fencer 4000 / Medic 2000 / Teras Kasi 0004 / Rifleman 0400
Here's the basic rundown.
Melee Mitigation 3
Ranged Mitigation 2
Stim B use
125 Melee Defense and Ranged Defense
I'll be using a speed sliced PH with 486 max damage at 4.0 speed.
Now all I need are the opinions and suggestions of those people who do this day in and day out.
