I believe I recall SOE saying that there will be 2 Japan servers being released, but I was curious to when they will be or if there will be more American/European servers as well. Thanks for your input!

I think the japanese version is completly different from the rest of the world due to the huge difference how language is interpreted.
I was hoping for some new euro or american servers but it seems that SOE do not want to create any, which is no suprise really since the SWG population is now always getting smaller, and at a suprisingly fast rate. I can understand that now that new more dynamic and exciting MPORPG's are coming out. The SWG skill system was a very brave and exciting choice to develope, unfortunatly I dont believe it has worked very well and other companies have took note of this and developed games that use the tradition skill leveling method, which frankly wasnt broke in the first place and therefor SOE didnt need to fix it.

JTL hasnt helped either, the months of bugs, fixes and revamps that were pushed back to make room for JTL development has obviously suffered alot. Many of the fundamental activities ingame are broken and I, as alot of people, were fed up of being killed by uber professions that shouldnt be as powerful as they are. Dungeons were constantly empty, missions and stories were always lacking in content. and space is not much better. Cargo ships fly around in circles seemingly waiting to be attacked. as soon as you get on the tail of an enemy they just seem to fly in a big circle too. I was looking forward to chasing ships through asteroid belts but all they do is crash into them and get forced round them. Flying into another ship doesnt even damage you.

Ive been with SWG since launch and the first few months were amazingly fun, I loved following the monthly story and visiting the content, using new weapons, skills and moves. Unfortunatly that content has dried up, 90% of the weapons are useless maybe even 95%, everyone looked the same running about in composite armor. Things that should of been in the game at launch were not, vehicles and player cities to name 2 of them.

Where SOE went wrong was tampering with bits of systems here and there rather than revamp a system all at once. For example, we use to go to the tusken fort every evening, we walked miles before the vehicles and player cities just to get there, having 10-15 minute conversations with anyone else who might be making the journey. We had a group of 20 battling our way into the fort, most of the time we hardly managed to get halfway up the cave because the tuskens were so powerful. Then one day, after a patch, the tuskens just suddently got easy, the spawns were longer, and it needed fewer people to completly clear out the fort. all with basically the same skills as the day before. now pritty much anyone can solo the fort with average buffs, weapons and armor.

I sent a letter to my guild explaining my reasons for cancelling my accounts, feeling sad that I wont be speaking to the friends that I have gained in the last year for a long time, if at all. And hoping that one day I might be able to come back to SWG once it is under the new management and things are sorted quickly. I have wondered why there have been so many new jobs on the SWG team coming up, some of them are even very important roles, I am begining to understand why those that left the positions, whoever they are, did so and moved on.

Sorry for my long post, which goes off topic slightly but I wanted to express my feelings about the game 1 last time.

I was told that the SWG servers are old EQ servers.

Seems like EQ2 got all the new stuff.

Want proof? Come to Bria, or, as we so lovingly call it,Better Reboot It Again.
