Thread: Is there a way to gain sith shadow faction?

Yeah, I have that happen as well....but they sometimes attack me. One thing I should have pointed out though was that before I had any faction with either clans, neither one would arggo me at all ....I could walk through the nightsister cave to the end and not get bothered, same with the SMC's....but when I got faction because I was running SMC missions, the nightsisters all would arggo me from that point on.....then I switched and ran missions for the nightsisters and the SMC's started arggoing me......now both arggo me no matter what my faction is....right now I'm at +5000 SMC faction and when I see one, they still attack me....especially when I go to the SMC vs nightsister battlefield....although, I can't go anywhere on dath without being arrgo'd....I remember as a noob I walked from one end of dath to the other and the only thing I had to run from was the creatures....npc's never attacked me and I only had scout skills at the time but wasn't using mask scent.
Also, this goes for any other faction in the game except the random spawns.....as a noob with no positive or negative faction with any factions that oppose each other.....I could go to any poi, any planet and not get arggoed by the mobs inside even though they conned red to me (I use to loot the mag seals for SEA's like that).....even some of the red cons that randomly spawn don't bother me when I'm within 5 meters of them. When I have positive faction with mokks, they still con red to me but don't attack.....but with nightsisters or SMC's.....faction doesn't matter.....same with the corsecs on the corvette.....killing a bunch of rogue corsecs' wll give you +5000 corsec faction, but the corsec's on the vette still arggo you even though your on thier side, faction point wise anyway.
As for the slaves, they always attacked me even before either of the clans would....I think they are just aggressive to everyone.
Clearly though, the faction has no effect on these two mobs at least....many people I know in game have had the same dealings with the SMC's and nightsisters.....don't know about the spider clan though....but they've always attacked me that I can remember.
What can I say, the system seems kind of screwy to me.

anyway, I find it a nice challenge to maneuver through the village without being attacked.....as I always seem to go when I'm unbuffed and theres no way I can survive the sith...they kill me in 2 - 3 shoots most of the time....don't worry though, it will all change in another week, it'll be phase 1 again.

I do know however that if you are grouped with someone that doesn't have faction you will be attacked, Also, if you heal someone without faction you will be attacked. You can get an NPC TEF, I have tested this many times, You can also lose faction if you heal someone that has a tef against nightsisters, Like if you heal someone tanking the elder, etc.
