I can't find any command or anythin in the options menu...any help would be much appretiated

Are you talking about the conversation menu or the holocron box that appears in the middle of the screen?

If it is the Holocron box, you can't get rid of it until you have a tier one skill (if I remember correctly). If you want to get rid of the dialogue options, you can do that by selecting the option that you don't need help or whatever the equivalent is for your pilot profession.

You can get ride of him if you for the one time in space if you end conversation or say I don't need your help or the equilvialant.

If your taking getting ride of him forever you have to buy a Player made ship, and depending on your choicen Prof there is a Debate between getting the 1xxx ship or getting a Player crafted Novice LvL ship, but there are tons of posts on that and as far as that goes its really personal Preferance.
