Has anyone started a guide on accuracy/speed caps (I guess they would be called mod caps)? I have heard there are caps but I don't know what they all are. To narrow them down I am more interested in the caps for pistoleer and Bountyhunter.
Sorry if this should be in the respective profession forums. But since this is game guides forumI figured some of you have found threads that listed these.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Any Speed bonus over +99 is meaningless. If you have a +99 Speed modifier you could fire any weapon of that classin the game using any special, at the speed cap. +130 isn't any faster than +99 in that regard, it will always take one second.
As for accuracy? The more the merrier, because there are a lot of conditional penalties (for moving, posture, etc.)

Caps are at +125. Saying nothing beyond +99 matters, could be misleading. To that end see this webpage:
The total some of any SEA (skill enhancing attachments) is +25 for any one stat. Ref:

*"The total sum of..."
:/ I need to drop master typo and get more skill from the master english skill tree in the line of typing verification.

Hey thanks ton for all who responded.
This gives me new perception on what boxes to train in and in trying to figure out what to give up for F/S quests.

The caps for defensive skills like Dodge and Melee Defense are +125, however I don't believe there is any evidence that accuracy is capped at all.

Player speed and weapons speed calculator
If you punch in the numbers, you will find that no matter what speed you use for the weapon itself, the results are the same whether you have a speed modifier of +100 or+1000. Try it, you will see.
Notice that it's all 1 second per special at a speed bonus of +100? Regardless f the special or the weapon's speed?
The reason I said +99 instead of +100 is because the formula will still work at 1 second for any weapon up to speed 25... of which there are not any in the game.
I'm not misleading anyone, you simply don't understand just how it works.

No I understand it m8 as I think everyone who read this thread can see apparently apart from u. I said it could be misleading, in the case u have a real slow weapon. Also u said "any weapon from that skill tree"leaving a large element of doubt shrouding the area. People who ask this type of question are looking for facts not mystery and I believe would rather have my type of reply than 10 of ur type, I know I would.
Notice I didnt copy u and resort to personal remarks. This forum has alotof trolls and they simply would not be tolerated on boards I have been before.
I have not researched jedi skills yet, only glowing atm, but here is another excellent page for determining game dynamics:

I don't think that speed over +99 is meaningless because, just like accuracy, there are factors that detriment your speed that could be avoided by having additional speed, though they aren't as common as accuracy reducers. Some examples include the pistoleer power Stopping Shot, which has a long delay, making it very slow. Stacking a slow power with a slow pistol and you'll see your attack speed decrease. Another example could come from outside sources, say if a smuggler decides to delay you. I have never tested if a higher speed increases your ability to recover from a smuggler's attacks, but it stands to reason that a high speed should be beneficial there as well.
Fortunately for all of us, Bounty Hunter is no longer as required for a pistol template because of the force sensitive ranged accuracy and speed lines will add to our ability to cap ourselves in those skills, effectively making force sensitivity near useless in combat offense for Bounty Hunter/ Pistoleers. *Shrug* Least we can persuade skill trainers we don't use to give us deals using the extra money we loot off of meatlumps in our shiny ranger camps we can't make ourselves (just 3 of the skills that don't make much sense to me).

If we assume stopping shot has a delay factor of 7 (highly unlikely, it propably is lower), you could still fire a speed 10 pistolat the one second cap if you had 99 speed.
7x10x(100-99)/100=0.7
So I wouldsay that for pratical use, if you have 99 speed, you really dont need more
