Thread: Question about biographies

Why do a lot of players I examine have the words "perform" or "performance" as their biographies. For a while now I've seen it and not paid any attention to it, then I realized how often I was seeing it and how many different people had it as their bio. I believe there's some other words that I've seen numerous times, but those two for sure. Anybody know what the purpose of this is?

Haha that would explain so many people with it. Since I posted this question I saw another character in the Coronet cantina with "perform" as their biography. I know it must mean something, does anyone else notice this?

maybe when they were writing their macro and it did a new florish it pushed the flashing line (I dont know its name) into the bio box if they had it open ???????

Most likely they are some sort of entertainer and tried to do a mindbuff, but mistyped it. The command for mindbuffing someone is /setperform, but sometimes people put /set perform instead. /set is the command for the biography so they get "perform" in their bio if they add a space to the command. Sometimes you'll see "permission" or "admin" instead of "perform".

I've noticed that since the start of the game. I've also noticed that it seems it's a lot of the asian players who do it. It's probably just some kind of inside thing to them. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to ask one of them next time and hope I dont get a I speak very little english answer from them.
