first
I think whenever someone responds with "first" they should immediately have their account(s) banned. Then they should be hunted down and killed.

Clarification please: If I am a Rebel Pilot, and I purchase an Imperial Chip (say the tier 4 engine thrust chip) ... can I use it?

/begin anti-hijack attempt.
Thank you TheRealTK421 for putting this together and thanks to Tiggs for getting a good visable link to it for the masses. I can't wait to get home and get a little time in my new ship before heading for school and study... wait that time is now.... *runs for the door once I finish post*
/end anti-hijack attempt.
P.S.: I do feel for all of our overseas players who have had issues getting their hands on JTL. However jumping on the Devs for this is not the correct course of action. They DEVELOP the came (Hence the term "Dev"). I too am a developer for a software company. But you know what, after I turn the code in I have no control over who gets it when. All I can say is that it's good to deploy. My boss's boss has the say when things get on. Please lay off the good people who work their tails off to bring you this game for something that is most certainly out of their hands. I believe Tiggs has already stated that she only recently discovered the issue with UK JTL after some investigation. The fact she did this proves she, as well as the rest of the development team, do indeed work for the better of the game but there are just simply some things they can't do. You expect TH or any other Dev to fly out to the distributers and do their jobs too? /sigh.

Assuming you can get your hands on one....yes, you should be able to use that command.

I don't think so Geevo. I never tried that in Beta personally, but I would assume that if it has an Imperial command burned on the thing, you won't be able to use it.
I could be wrong. It might just call up the equivalent Rebel command, too.
Did anyone ever give this a shot?

Then you're in correct, cause...

I DID do this (with a few others). Use of opposite-faction programs in droids did work.

Incorrect (which is the reason you're not supposed to "assume").

I was able to get 2/3rd of both the Imperial and Freelancer programs into my droids.
When I launched, I had access and use of all of them (Rebel, Imperial and Freelancer).

Respectfully,
Assuming some nice Imperial would trade me for shield chips
