I'm sure this has been asked and answeredbut I've spent an hour looking and still can't find the definitive answer. I got scanned and failed- first time for either and I was turned from Covert Rebel to Overt. How long does this last? Is it permanent? Do I need to die before it gets fixed OR does it go away after time? The stormtrooper's last words before I killed him were that I "need to visit a recruiter". An Imp recruiter?

Any help would be great!

Just visit a Rebel recruiter and tell him you want to go covert. It takes an hour to return to covert status.

but you will still be scanned untill you attain a high enough rank. I was followed by a probot after leaving cnet last night and was scanned by it, then one of those troop ships landed and 6 St's jumped out to conduct the search, cool.

Best thing to do is the just kill the Stormtrooper. Only gives you a TEF. High tail is outta there. I am a Rebel Colonel and get turned overt EVERY time. I don't even bother anymore. Though it's pretty cool that the STs say they recognize me from the holovids!

the funniest thing for me was I created a new toon...walked out of the starport with absolutely nothing on me except the items given to a noob... I was stopped, scanned & contraband was found! Lost 50 Imp points within 2 minutes of creation. Now...what noob items are sliced?? lol

Well... gasp.

well if your a low level combat character, no combat skills or just don't want a TEF (so some overt IMP and gank you when you least expect it, the best thing to do is TAKE OFF burst running! Even if you were stopped while riding a speeder...just get out of there, leave the speeder....it'll be safe.

I get stopped all the time and I run everytime and have gotten away every single time.....I don't go to kor vella anymore though, that's where I get scanned 90% of the time.....outside of theed is another place...always a regiement of troopers southwest of theed that will chase you down to get a scan....probots have never found nothing on me though.....

I'm a rebel Staff Sgt. and everything on me is always sliced but don't carry spices anymore.....don't know if your rebel rank has anything to do with the scans.
