My question is how long do player structures of players who quit playing last in the world. If I have admin on them, can I pay maintenance and keep them going as long as everything is current, thus giving me additional spaces in a round about way, or do they pop after 6 months or something of that nature?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

if the player owns the house under thier lots, if they delete that char then the house is deleted as well

And if you did not deleted the char the structure will last as long it has refunds from upkeep. If you put there alot you might have a chance..

FYI as told by a CSR
A player who becomes a citizen will remain on the citizenship list for 6 weeks of inactivity. HOWEVER, since the 6 week timer was bugged it was turned off so until it is turned back off those people who have been inactive for months are still on the citizenship roster.

SOE is planning a six month character purge but have not anounced it. Until then you are probably safe, I say probably since the rules can change at any time. But once an account is deleted, the possessions of the characters in that account are on borrowed time. Even if you are paying maintenance on it, there will be a point where they buildings and everything in them will be deleted. And since you are not the owner, odds are the items inside are gone for good as well.

That is what I was kinda thinking would happen. Some of my former guild stopped their membership, but didn't delete their character, so their buildings are still there. I was thinking that since SOE sometimes invites former players back, that if I pay maintenance on the structures, they should last untill whenever I stop paying maintenance. I guess it will be a crapshoot to trust that it won't pop without warning.
