Maybe this was just a random bug, but I was just fighting nightsisters on dath and died, and while that isn't exactly a rare occurance, it did seem to be a lot more damage than I'm used to seeing from NS's, so I checked my combat chat afterI cloned, and sure enough, out of the 20-30 or so physical attacks (not the attacks that use the force, just normal swings) used on me, only two were lessoned by a full set of pve composite armor. Has anyone else experienced this recently? It was anightsister protectorbtw.

Hitting you with either a stun baton or a powerhammer? As I've had this happen to me with both :/ I understand why I'd be taking alot more damage with both of those, but still sux

On reflection it might have been a stun baton, forgot they used those. Guess that's what i get for dropping off my PvP armor before i went

there is more than one 2k damage T221 floating around out there, just because you get trashed, doesnt mean it was a bug

ok heres the deal guys
DO NOT USE FULL ARMOR
full armor will make armor holes
yes using full armor is worst then no armor
use only CHEST HELM GLOVES BOOTS and if you want pants
if you do not use GLOVES you will have holes too
this is tested but if you dont belive me try it.

Yes, I got hit by a sith for 2300 damage while on my swoop and no armor kicked in to lessen the blow. I had ubese 67% on my legs, bracers and gloves. Helmet and chest were composite. That rifle shot made it right through me and almost one-shot'ed me to the ground. If I wasn't buffed, I'd be a casualty. btw, the shot I took wasn't a special, but just a normal shot.

Which stat got hit ? it could have been the ubese pants that caused you to take all that damage. I accidentaly had ubese pants on when I went to the corellian corvette. My action pool got hit with one shot and died instantly, even though i used 90% composite gloves, helmet and boots. I suspect that if you have pants with armor rating on then the pants(legs) take the damage instead of the boots abouth 50% of the time. WhenI went again with regular pants it worked fine.

The DEVs used an ugly hack to fix the third occurance of the armor hole. Basicly if the system things you are using a "full suit", damage is shunted to the nearest peice of armor. This didn't fix the holes, it just lessened the damage going through unchecked.
The problem comes from the definition of "full suit." With composite, the system considers helm, chest, boots and gloves a full suit, so it then shunts damage.
