What exactly does armour do to your stats? Is it worth it? What are teh best pieces of armour? What are unnecessary (ex. are helmets worthless or are boots the best armour you can have)? Tell me what you think.

Armor BAH I stopped wearing it as a marksman, (bone)

Armor lowers your HAM pools, with the benefit of blocking certain %'s of dmg. Bone armor is useful ONLY against blaster fire, and anyone you see with a full suit of bone is a fool. It drains 200+ of your HAM bar with a full set, and you hardely see much with blaster fire (at least on Talus)

I suppose armor will become more useful and less horrifically delpleting as time wears on, but for now I'll just stay away. I've got my custom made black/grey soft undershirt, custom black short sleeved jacket, camo pants and leather boots, and fingerless gloves. =)

When chosing armor, pay attention to the detail statistics. Armor types are generally only good against a specific type (or a few types)of damage. Each piece has a rating on how it affects your HAM pools. If you're shopping for armor, make sure to weight in the armor effectiveness versus the HAM pool modifiers.

As an armorsmith I try to distinguish my armors by making them as low affecting to the HAM pools while increasing the resistance and quality as much as possible.

Hi all,

I'm a novice rifleman and have read the beginers guide before people tell me to!

I saw a post on here the other day which had the best stats for a rifleman, buffed and unbuffed. I currently have a full suit of red compesite armour (sorry about the spelling), the stats that were suggestedwont mach up withthe armour on.

So, basically is it worth having armour? If socan anybody recommend what armour andsome stats to stack up with a full set.

Cheers for your time!
