It was thanks to "Vectar" in his thread:

That I was able to come up with the right method.
Many of us, myself included, has a problem when using the Starship Terminal "Travel" option . The game for some reason thinks we're on Tatooine when using 'Travel'. In effect, this makes us only able to use the 'Travel' option to go to Correlia, Naboo, Tatooine and Lok.

Well, dispair no more, here's the solution to our problems:

01. Place yourself within reach of both a Starship Terminal and a Ticket Terminal

02. 'Use' the Starship Terminal 03. Select your desired starship

04. 'Use' the Ticket Terminal

05. Select the 'Galaxy Map' on the Ticket Terminal

06. Wait a second or two (seems to need a few moments to synchronize between client and server)

07. Select 'Travel' in the Ship Detail [Starship Terminal]

08. Wait a second or two again (same reason) - the Galaxy Map will come into focus doing (07)

09. Select 'Exit' (or escape) in the Galaxy Map [Ticket Terminal]

10. Select 'Travel' in the Ship Detail [Starship Terminal] (yes, again)

11. This time the Galaxy Map belonging to the Starship Terminal should show with the planet you're on and not Tatooine!

I've tested this using the 'Travel' option boing to both Dantooine and Dathomir after I learned the correct method.

One word of warning though! While working out the method, I seemed to trigger a bug at first. I managed to be send from Coronet to the Venri island (yes, to the shuttleport in Venri) - not a good thing, as there is no Starport in Venri and therefore no way to select the ship in a Starship Terminal. Luckily, a CSR was able to move my ship back to Coronet.

Bah, sorry for this second thread.

It seemed like the first one wasn't created when I had submitted, but it was...

Not really sure what you mean here...

If you mean "buy a normal ticket and wait for the starship to land" - well, that's kinda one of the reasons I bought JTL, don't want keep running up to the ship just to see it lift off as I try to get the server to respond to me!

If you mean "just press the planet in the Galaxy Map", well, DUH, that's exactly what doesn't work, as the game thinks I'm travellingfrom Tatooine and therefore wont let me go to Endor, Dantooine, Rori, Yavin 4 or Talus using the my personal starship!

And although the list might seem long to you (obviously), it really doesn't take more than 10-15 seconds to go through.

A small but important update for this to work (also got shorter / more efficient):

1. Place yourself within reach of both a Starship Terminal and a Ticket Terminal
2. 'Use' the Starship Terminal
3. Select your desired starship
4. 'Use' the Ticket Terminal
5. Select 'Travel' in the Ship Detail [Starship Terminal] (the map from the Ticket Terminal will come into view again)
6. PressEscape to exitthe Ticket Terminal (don't use 'Exit')
7. Select 'Travel' in the Ship Detail [Starship Terminal] (yes, again)
8. This time the Map belonging to the Starship Terminal should show with the planet you're on and not Tatooine!

I found this works too:

Use & select your ship on the starship terminal

Use the galactic map on the ticket terminal

Press travel on the sharship screen

Press alt twice to hide/unhide screen

That's the problem, YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT. The travel terminal always shows you as starting on Tatooine, so you cannot travel with you ship ANYWHERE that's not connected to Tatooine unless you launch and fly there. It's been this way since BETA and I've submitted the bugs countless times and forms.

You really make yourself look smart when you call somebody lazy for posting a workaround on a known bug.
