Clothes don't take damage from fighting, they decay at a rate of 1% for an insured no faction death and 5% for an uninsured non faction death, there is no decay for faction deaths unless it's from a triple incap

I am curious where this rumor about "no decay for faction deaths" comes from... the only reason I say it is that every time I have died recently while declared overt, I still have decay. I could have sworn that they said it was removed, but is there anyone else out there who still experiences decay after an overt death? Just wondering....

No decay for PVP deaths. But that doesn't stop anyone from 3-incap griefing you into decay.

I get decay in all my items in PVP deaths.. not the 3-incap variety either, I get decay when I am deathblowed. I even asked some more experienced PVP guild mates after it happened to me the first time, and they all said that they always have decay as well. Maybe we are a bugged guild...

sometimes it still happens and if you get diseasedand sometimes piosonedbefore you die. then it usally always means decay...

Well, that would explain it... I have been disease and poisoned every time I have died lately. I wonder why that would cause clothing and item decay though? Sounds like some kinda bug.
