There are 2 different versions of the Tusken helmet.... seriously.
One can be worn by human men... the other can be worn by Zabraks and humans.
If you examine them, there is a slight difference and the two images acutally mirror each other.

I am a Zabrak male (thus not female and not Human). That is wonderful - I suppose the company calls this "cool" content to have more than one - with no real way to tell them apart. This is good game design to have something as a special drop, then make it so not everybody can use it and most importantly don't give a F***ING clue in game what is the issue. But thank you all for answering.

I had the same problem you did... my main is a Male Zabrak and I wanted a Tusken helmet forever.
The original helmets were only human wearable... then, about 6 months ago they added the new helmet to the loot table so more species could wear it. I don't think they ever removed the original helmet from the loot table. That is why its hit or miss withfinding a wearable tuskenhelmet.
Just check on the bazaar... a friend of mine bought like 6 or 7 Zabrak wearable tusken helmets (Kettemoor server)
I hope you find what you are looking for.

There are also two types of helmets. Some show up as hats in a vendor, others as armor. This might have something to do with it...?

Hi all, I have just looted a Tusken Raider Helmet but the system will not allow me to wear it. As always it give NO clue why not - just won't let me. Does anybody know if this is the way it is supposed to be or if there is a known bug or what? I do thank you in advance for your help.
