Thread: C-12 Grenade and FSS Grinding Question

Apparently, you can use C-12 grenades to blow upp stuff and all the XP that would normally be granted as weapon XP comes to you as pure combat XP (i.e., if you get 5000 Pistol XP for killing a Kam Snapper, you should get 5000 COMBAT xp for using grenades to blow up the same Kam Snapper).

So where you would get about 333 FSXP for killing a Kam with a pistol (500o pistol XP + 500 combat XP), you would get about 1667 for killing it with only grenades (+1334 XP over the pistol).

So my question: What is the best spawn to grind this on?

Thanks!

There is a nice post on this in the Force Sensitive Forum. By tossing a few C-12 grenades at every lair you can max your combat XP as well as your primary weapon. This nets you 130K of FS XP instead of 60K on every trip out to the village. It takes a little longer to reach your caps but the additional XP saves on timelost for trips to the village. I toss about 3 - 3 1/2 stacks at every Huurton lair and reach both caps at about the same time, roughly 2 hours.

So you grenade the lairs but weapon the mobs? 3-3.5 stack means indiviual grenades stacks not crates, right?

This method is no good unless you are a commando to begin with.

Some background - I am a M2hand/Mdoc - I can grind 900k 2hand xp and 90+k combat xp in less than an hour on endor. I've gottenvery good at this as I've already manually ground through six FS boxes including the entire melee speed tree.

The grenade method - Even w/ no skills you can use the noobgrenades (C22 I think). They do minor damage and are very slow. You unequip your weapon and start tossing at lair/mobs.

I had a commando in my guild give me 10 crates of grenades. It took all 10 crates and over 10 mins to kill two baz nitches. I could have killed those two mobs in a few seconds w/ any 2hand weapon.

As a commando, my guildmate gets Thermal Dets andbaz nitch missions. He stands back, chuck the Det at the lair, hurts the lair, causes spawns, hopefully kills the spawns, rinse and repeat. He says he can max his combat xp(300k I think) in approx 90 mins to 2hrs.

Commando w/ Grenades - 300k combat xp @ 3:1 = approx 100k of FS xp

Me w/ 2hand - (900k weapon xp @ 30:1) + (90k combat xp @ 3:1) = approx 60k FS xp

When you look at the numbers, there really isn't much of an advantage w/ grenades. It definately isn't time effective to use the grenade method if you aren't a commando. Yes, you get all the xp as combat xp but if you don't have the skill to mod the dmg and spd then its time wasted.

I guess you could switch from a weapon specialization to commando and use the grenade method for a slight edge, but then you'd have to continually make/buy grenades. I can use a phammer for weeks on end fora single small cred investment.

You stand in the lair and throw grenades at it. The melee mobs will attack you next to the nest. You have 100% chance to hit the lair and area effect will it the mob. Attack the mob when they are low on life and get more combat xp then weapon xp.

I have tried to use the c-22. Did not have a cert for it which means very little damage. Best to use c-12 for non-commandos.
