I have never used my Faction points to buy these items, and I was wondering if they have any MODs or benifits?

Weapons are useless.... never tried the droid schematics so not sure if they have any perks... I'd doubt it

I always wondered if you could use the faction droid schematics even without having DE. However, I never actually purchased one to see. Would be nice to know.

Well I can answer that one, I accidently bought a droid schematic when I was a young imperial noncom, looking over what types of faction perks I could get. I still have it and I have never been able to use it since I have never been a DE. I keep trying every now and again in the hopes that I can make an R2 unit. Ahh well.

Short answer. No, you can not use the schematic without the required skills

The answer to part two is no. The schematics are for a droid without any modules, hence no functionality. In short, they're pretty worthless.
