"Due to lag issues related to the JTL expansion's release, all ground based spawns have been NERFED. This should allow the space-based game to be a much more enjoyable experience."

Well not really, but I'm sure this has something to do with it.

Yep, likewise on Infinity.
Drove from the Reb Op to the Bat Cave on Rori .. came across just one spawn of Tortons. Used to be dozens of spawns on that route, vir vurs for the avian meat, squalls for herb meat. Drove halfway across Talus too ... found one spawn total. Seems as tho there are now wide open spaces without spawns ... some places are ok, some places are empty.

This has been happening for a year now, some days are good, some days are bad, some weeks are good lol, some weeks are bad. You can drive through an area and find nothing, come back 4-5 hours later and it's full.
The spawn rate is also related to the number of people on the planet. More people = less spawns.

Not really.....I used to hunt nightsisters all the time around the stronghold. There would be 15-30 spawns at any one time normally and there would actually be lairs of creatures there in addition to the sisters. There was almost nothing there this time.(some of my friends went out there again tonight to scope it out.......same scenario nothing there they found 2 stalkers in 45 mins) Guess the devs acknowledged the impact that the new code would have on the ground, but this is still not good on their part to patch in new code without fully realizing its consequences in the game.

The devs screw another thing up. and another thing up. and another thing up. What will it take them to get anything right. Spawns on all planets have decreased by 75-80% it seems. I searched for nightsisters other night on dath for 2 hours......2 damn hours only to find 3 spawns of 2-3 sisters each(yes i was about 1000m out form NS stronghold) in fact i only found a total of 15 spawns in 2 hours of anything....there were not even any lairs spawning. Damn jedi crap screwing up everything.

Nope, not the Jedi crap, I think it's the JTL crap they just introduced.

This patch had nothing to do with the "jedi crap". This is all JTL pre-launch code that just went in, and yes, I feel the pain of bugged spawns as well. I'm effectively out of business till this get straightened out.

I grinded jedi from february to july this year, and there were times (not that i'm defending this) that i drove 10k without seeing a SINGLE spawn. Even stopping and waiting every 1k or so and nothing.
Not one solitary creature or lair for sometimes 2-3 hours at a time. so yeah, they've had this problem before. I always /bug'd it, but who knows if it ever worked.

Actually TH had a thread where that is exactly what he said. To improve server stability they reduce the amount of spawns on a planet based on it's population. Heh, trust me i know how insane that sounds.

I don't think it's got much if anything to do with the amount of people on the planet tho, unless the more people the more spawns (?)... Rori on my server only ever has half a dozen people on it at any one time. Tatooine & Coronet (bustling of course) seem to have a decent amount of spawns still, & there are still lots of spawns on the Yavin route to the Geono Cave.

It is rather convenient that all the spawns disappear right before the first big expansion...
"Everyone'll be good and bored by the 27th and they'll buy JTL out of sheer boredom because they're still on their monthly dime!"

Yeah I was noticing less spawns, less lairs around too but I want to add that spawns has alot to do with how many actual players are on that planet. Less and less player population will cause these to diminish. Its probabily working as intended..
