This thread is a little lost. It dosent know where it belongs.

It wants to talk about an issue not defined by any other board. It wants to talk about the possibility of upgrading an account key from regular SWG to a Collector's Edition key, without having to re-roll, re-name, or otherwise molest the existing character.

It knows it doesnt belong in Game Guides per se, but it also knows there is no Customer Service or General board anymore.

So it has come here to be found, or pointed in the right direction.

Speculation:

1) Buy the Special Edition from the store.

2) Activate a new account.

3) Pay the character transfer fee.

You will have your character with skills only, transfered to the SE activated account. This will cost you any credits or stuff it had, but you would get the cool glasses.

Other than this, I dont know if it is possible. I would suggest you call SOE directly, second options try the technical support boards, last resort the in-game CSR.

You cannot upgrade an account to "collectors" edition after creation. You would have to start a new account.
