Thread: Making/Getting Buffed. Don't over pay!

Again, as the point has been brought up several times before, I will answer it in the same way. A T-21 will last longer than 3 hours. If you log out for 45 minutes, you still have the T-21, if you are killed by a DJK on Dantooine 5 minutes after you buy your T-21 you still have it.

With the above numbers:
Cost Per Buff Set: 848 credits
Cost Per Single Stat Buff: 142 credits
Resource Per Single Stat Buff: ~260 units
And we pay this much for buffs..... why?
Well you can do the same analysis with other crafting professions. Without going into the same detail;
AT21 rifle takes 697unitsof resource to make, These usually go for 20k+ unsliced. Since we do not take time or resource quality into the mix why are all weaponsmiths ripping us off, they should be charging 2k max because 300% profit is more than enough.
AComposite Chest peicetakes 572units of resource to make, These usually go for 30k+ unsliced. Since we do not take time or resource quality into the mix why are all Armorsmiths ripping us off, they should be charging 2k max because 300% profit is more than enough.
/sarcasm off
If that is your argument, then what about chef buffs? Take for example canape, takes 86units per canape(3 doses) if you take all 3 at once you buff will last for 10-15 min. If you die it is gone, and the typical cost is 6-8k per dose on my server depending on quality. Also what would you consider a dancer/musician buff to be worth? Are they worth nothing because no resources are put in, they only last 2 hours and if you die they disappear? And it is very easy to destroy a comp chest peice in 3.5 hours.

Again, scroll back. I never drew a line for Chefs, that are in the same boat. To mention it again, likeprevious pages. You can hunt, fight, PVP (not well) blah blah blah without Chef Foods. 90% of anything you want to do in this game nearly require you to have Doctor buffs. Even down to Entertainers and Surveyors looking for Mining locations, nothing is more annoying than getting killed looking for that 90% spot.

It's all in there, even if you buy meat at 100cpu you will still profit 10million on a pack of 50 of each.
~8000 units needed for a whole set of 50 of each buff pack
8,000,000 credits at 100cpu
Selling buffs are 15k each will get you just shy of 19million...
Some docs on Shadowfire have spent upwards of 300 cpu to collect on some 900+ OQ AND PE spawns. So, it DEFINITELY cuts back on the profits. /shrug

I'm terrible at math as you can see.
8,000 avian at 100cpu is 800k
8,000 avian at 300cpu is 2.4million.
15k buffs times 50 (a full crate)x 30charges = 22million credits.
Hmmmm I can see how that profit margin is undesirable...
