Question? After you copy and paste this into the chat window and hit enter, then what do I do to buy a ticket say from Dathomir Mining Outpostto Coronet Starport? And do you have to copy and paste this each time you want to use it?

From that angle, we could imply that anyone that uses a macro/alias, in ANY form, is an exploiter.

The devs created the macro and alias system... unless they publicly state that such-n-such function is an exploit...I say nay. The fact that numerouscommands have been removed/rewritten does indicate that someone found a way to abuse or take advantage of the system...
(**cough** imagedesign **cough** guilty **cough**)
But on the same note, the /quit command remains in the game.... so it would appear that using a typed command -vs- using a button is acceptablecertain cases.
Shoot, the only way to check your "Glowy" status is via typed command 
Is it possible that pre-purchasing a ticket in the middle of nowhere is against their wishes, yes.
For me, I'll continue to explore the potential that exists within the macro/alias system, until suchcommands are removed from the system, the devs tell me not to, or someone can point out how doing so gives an unfair advantage over my fellow player (item #3 seems moot since I'm always happy to share my discoveries with my fellow players)
Anywho....my 2cr worth

can you supply the assortment of the UI ACTION commands please: such as ui action defaultbutton, etc
and perhaps explain how do I bound an outside txt file to a macro/key buttonso that i may load aliases/macros
--just wondering the ECHO command, what does it do?

No, it is saved automatically to a local copy onl your machine, if you uninstall SWG for any reason, then you will have to load it again, but not otherwise.Simply type out the first 3 letters of the leaving starport, a "2", then the first three letters from the destination starport as stated in the original post.

That's been covered a few hundred times, just do a search in guides for "ui action" and sort by date.

The command to load aliases from a text file is "load <filename>" I believe.
--just wondering the ECHO command, what does it do?
Exactly what it says, it "echos" what is put in the line, it simply prints whatever is in there onto the users screen, it's an old DOS command that was adopted.

This thread deserves to be promoted to STICKY status, seriously.
I first came across this post a while back when it was in a Tuesday's Tips thread, and I have used it ever since. This has to be one of the most useful and time saving hints to SWG.

so lets say im on correllia in the middle of no where and i use this macro it will let me purchase a ticket to lets say theed and i will immediatly teleport to to theed (after the little loading session) ?

Yes and no. Youcould purchase the ticket from the middle of nowherebut in order totravel, you must be within range of the shuttle you want to board.

This also gets around the new annoyance of multiple tickets (return ticker by default). That's why I didn't notice it for a while until I read about it on the forums.
