Here's some constructive suggestions:
Fix the bugs in the game before addressing uneeded changes.
There are some crucial game breaking bugs and many non-crucial bugs that have been allowed to linger for far too long. There's a history of breaks introduced by patch code that are never ever fixed.
Ground based group system messages
Smuggler's tools
Chat channels
Nightsister Armor Bicep R (tusken helms came back, why not these?)
and so on, and so on.
Come on. The person or group responsible for the inventory change could well have been addressing any number of bugs reported by the community. I simply cannot understand why the inventory thing took higher priority.

I like the idea, but perhaps a few more categories need to be added to the list view so you can better sort the inventory for your needs. THere should be one for equipped or not to get all your armor and weapons together. THere also needs to be a way to view the schematic numbers in your datapad for macro purposes. Adding a viewable number would be better than going back to the way it was previously, sorted by an invisible number, since you can find what you want right away. Finally, there probably should be a way to have your new items (crafted and looted) show at the bottom of the inventory so you know what you got or made.

Thank you for your feedback. =) Feel free to continue posting your constructive feedback on the change and we will get the ball in motion after the holidays.
It's nice that the game tries to maintain something... however, the old method, where new items would drop to the bottom of the inventory was very convinent for loot, and crafting items.
Now, when you look in your inventory, everything is (by default) alphabetical, which is not that convienent. Neither is sorting it by icon, or by type.
To Sum it up....
1) Maintaining a user sort is good.
2) There are no sorting options which are are truely viable sorts for any sort of organization.

the whole inventory system is bad... cant multiple select items... cant categorize as you see fit... when lagging, cant do anything at all...
wholesale changes needed.....
I really wish we could multiple select, either ctrl+click and then drag all selected into my backpack or something like that.

Make us able to sort by TIMESTAMP, which is set, when an item is added to the inventory ..

Not a fan of this update. Should be an option to "opt out" of the new change

The problem with the new change, is that we usually don't want our inventory to be impacted by sort cause we need to see whats been added to it, such as JTL or ground loot, trades, etc.
Otherwise, for backpacks, structure bags, chests, etc., I think the new save sort is a fantastic addition, since the only things that go in these items are items we put in them ourselves. Maybe there should be a box in the tools interface for "Save Sort Options (On/Off)," buthave that apply to everything except personal on-player inventory.
