- **Keep your vehicle targeted at all times**
- Open your Survey tool and choose a resource
- Hit the ALT key
- Manually mount your vehicle/mount
- Begin the macro by hitting the F# key on the tool bar
- Ride to the nearest location then hit the F# key again
/dismount; /pause 3; /survey; /pause 2; /mount;
Who has that kind of time? LOL. I use:
/dismout; /pause 1; /survey; /mount;
Two other points: One, make sure your vehicle is at a complete, or nearly complete stop before using the macro or you will fly off your vehicle and be too far away to re-mount. I prefer a speeder bike as it stops faster than a swoop. Two, if you press ALT again while driving, you can actually open the survey tool while mounted.
Definitely one of the most useful macros out there.
Add /target speederbike; prior to /mount. It will target your swoop for you so you don't have to keep it selected all the time.

Never mind the fact that a lot of it is inaccurate and out of date, the fact that you, the devs of this game, who have told us you don't like AFK macroing and want it to go away, would post that as a Friday Feature...
Just wow.
Edit: Sorry, it's not a Friday Feature. It's a "Featured Game Guide." Whatever. It still makes me ill.

With all due respect, the command list you guys posted is hardly a full one... Please, players arent dumb, if you are going to call it a "Full Command List", then give us one.. Below is a list that I got by typing // ingame. It is much larger than the list you posted. I have marked in red the commands that I would like explained (in detail) and given an example on how its used.. These commands have to do with harvester function.

I did my first two boxes of medic crafting manually. It was tedious, I almost gave up the game. I only have a limited amount of time to play. And I would rather be using that time to enjoy the Star Wars Universe, not be staring at a crafting tool. Now don't get me wrong, that are times that crafting is enjoyable. The interface is actually very well designed. But from a role-players point of view its time consuming and lonely.
Macro's them selves are not our bane. Its the abuse of macros, That is. /stepOffsoapbox
I am However disappointed in this guide. I would have hoped the the Devs, would have taken the time to give us an updated, and more accurate game guide. Macros are not even truly covered in the Holocron, or printed users guide. I had to learn macro-ing from the forums, and by doing google searches. That being said I have seen much better Macro Making guides. This one is a decent start, but falls short of being The full macro How-to. I would Hope someone more skilled at macro-ing will take the time to Submit a more comprehensive guide. I also noticed that there is no mention to the rhyme or reason of how to select a schematic when setting up macro for crafting.
- There are much better ways to macro that have become popular since this guide came out almost a year ago... no one uses /ui action any more, /macro is much more useful and more commonly used now
- "Quick armor changes to avoid sitting around in your underwear" are a thing of the past - We were told we weren't supposed to be changing armor and weaps fast like that and now have a forced delay... I think the armor change still forces you to be in undies during the change, no?
- How does this jive with Tyrant's recent statements on getting rid of recursive macros and how they are harmful to the game?
I personally love the macro system in this game and am bummed with the decision to nerf it so heinously instead of actually dealing with the design problems that are creating the perceived need to "over use" the system like we are seeing.... but I'm confused. Is the Dev team dedicated to the current macro system and willing to support it through future design changes that will keep it's massive ability in mind? Or is it being abandoned because it's "too powerful" and needs to be nerfed?
Which is it? This is just a very confusing message you are sending with this very out dated guide. ![]()
