it is not there to maintain game balance... that is a lame excuse.

Yes it is, some examples:

  • I fill up on bespin port while crafting, then get a friend to kill me, my stomach empties and I can drink more and get the benefits.
  • I use Havla & Bivoli while buffing, once i am full i get a friend to kill me, my stomach empties and i can have more.

Any food or drink that has a limited number of uses as opposed to a duration can be used without any drawbacks (time waiting for the stomach to empty) if the stomach emptied on cloning.

When you clone you are no longer under the effects of the food, yet your stomach remains "full".

I don't believe your argument holds up, as the benefits of eating food after cloning do not "stack".

That is exactly what he's saying. If your stomach emptied, you could fill up stomach, do your stuff and then get killed and repeat it over and over.

you cant. SOE screws us when it comes to this. I assume they think it would be exploited.. LOL

It would be exploited, and the above posters just showed how.

If the /puke command worked we'd have all those little puke piles building up like in those Theme Park games.
Then we could have a new profession: sanitation worker!

none of your arguments as to why this bug exists makes any sense.

The effects are gone yet your stomach is full makes no sense.

If you clone, your stomach should be empty and the benefits should be too AND I should be able to rebuff, eat, or drink.. period...

NO STACKING could happen if it were programmed correctly to loose the state when your stomach is empty or when you clone.. period.

The funny thing here really is that none of you can see that it is a bug, and believe whatever you've been told...

hey, here's one......(incase any of you are a pistoleer)

Oh, uhm,.. pistol whip 2 doesn't actually work because.. uhm, it could be exploited.. ya ya, that's it.. it could be exploited so you'll just have to live with it.

No, the funny thing is here is you're either not paying attention or not paying close enough attention. I didn't realize it wasn't anything other than a stupid decision by the devs until the above posters gave concrete, logical examples and methods of how to exploit the system if stomachs were empties upon cloning.

He is not talking about stacking the benefits of foods, because that is already programmed against. He's talking about being able to use foods quickly, one after another, faster than you are intended to be able to reuse them.

In what profession would eating and drinking and getting killed help ? You get cloned, and you get BF.

As a crafter of any kind, everybody knows that bf is BAD! That leaves the fighters, they clone, and eat new foods, so what ? Its not like the food itself will make you uber, as everybody knows the mind is what gets hit 80% of the time in pvp, so I fail to see the problem there.

That leaves the doctors, so what if they want to be cloned, so they can eat more bivoli etc. to do more buffs, where's the harm in that ?

And for all one thing applies, unless the target is next to the cloner, or you are buffing or crafting next to a cloner, I fail to see the benefit of getting cloned to eat more food, as you have to drag yourself back to where it is you wanna go.

========================================================

Filling is the game mechanic to prevent using food continuously. If you cleared the stomach on cloning then you may as well eliminate filling for Havla and Bivoli. The filling in these foods are there to prevent there continuous use. Those food provide temporary benefits not permanent benefits.

If you live and craft in a player city you are generally within spitting distance of the cloner, you can register your cloning info to minimise the negatives of cloning, probably have a cantina nearby you can burn off the BF in if you get too much so the technique could and would be used.

Other foods that are affected by this include:

  • CorellianAle - Musicians

  • T'ssolok - Enterntainers

  • Almond-Kwevvu Munchies - CH

  • Gorrnar - Reduces wounds from cloning

  • Ornachek

It is there for a reason, just because you think the disadvantage of not being able to knock back a double brandy straight after dying is too much doesn't reduce the validity of the reason for the filling to remain.

I personally like the idea of a sanitation worker profession, then the architects can design a bathroom/puke room and docs can make bleach to clean them and not only would everyone be huddled in the CNET starport/med center/cantina, but we can now all huddle and puke together in the bathroomand watch the jedi clean it up! /clap

is there a /puke command?

I would like to be able to empty the contents of my stomach after being cloned so that I can eat some uncloned food to get my stats back!

any tips on /puking ????????????????

I wish there was a way. TH in an old post said that some foods were really powerful and the devs didn't want players dying and re-dying to stack the effects of food. However, I believe that statement incorrectly assumed that foods' effects last after dying...which they don't...in fact, as soon as you die they're gone, even if you get rezzed the foods' effects do not stay.

I have a bad feeling about this nerf
