Don't know about the plants, but I must admit I got a bit of an emotional letdown when I dropped CH. The grand wrix that I'd been hunting with for months - I couldn't bring him out anymore. I still keep him in my datapad, but I doubt I'll ever get CH again and pull him out. I miss my kitty. Getting upset over some random bits of information... someone help me.

Even though some may say "get a life" or whatever...it still hurts when something goes awry after a lot of effort you put into something.
Lets say you're a person who loves restoring old cars...you've rebuilt engines, anything..you name it. And theres this one car you invested a WHOLE lot of time in. Then one day, your sister drives the car and blows up the engine due to her negligance of actually changing the car oil (presume you dont drive it, but you let your sister drive it....or lets just say she gets in a car crash, either way if its believable to you...the oil and the engine blowing up actually happened to my sister IRL...and it hurt...it was a beat up car, but the new engine had cost 4500$). Getting back to the example...it would just rip your heart apart, after all that time invested in that car...lost.
Even worse...now you have to spend money or more time repairing the car.
Is this instrumental to life? Is this necessary for your career, job, loved one? No...but its your time spent on something enjoyable gone down the tubes. Humans love being occupied...we love doing stuff...
Anyways...
"Relationships u develop with friends in an online role playing game are just that, relationships, and they are as real as relationshipsyoudevelope with people in the "real world".
Very true....you hear stories of people meeting their spouses online...stories of best friends meeting online etc etc. Then you also hear the dark side of people abusing this and tricking others, or getting entangled with someone who really isn't worth it or leads down the path of the dark side....
Ive seen both honestly, it is very real...as we all are human. As well, the rewards are the same...we're social creatures....knowing a friend will be at the mall is just as comforting at knowing a friend on AIM will be there. Due to SWG, I met a very very special woman who has left the game with her guild to EQ2...but we still keep in touch, and are friends outside the games. We simply love talking to each other, and prolly will remain friends for a very long time (unless if one of us gets de-internetized). We never met IRL, but we dont need to as long as we're both truthful and are ourselves online (just as it is IRL, its easier online...but someone could still decieve you IRL...its just a whole different playing field)
Ahh well, got off topic there....but simply...Sorry for your loss =/...I for one hate wasting time.

two ways to play this game
casual
intense
if you play intense, things like that will happen. the game will affect your mood its like thatwith all things...
where intense gaming can hurt it can be atleast just as rewarding.

Sorry to hear about your loss...
I hope you take advantage of your in-game friends in dealing
with the loss, if you don't have many friends, just say hi to
some people at a starport and have a conversation, it can be
a wonderful experience.
Take care!

Your plant is a blue glowie now. Perhaps you will see it in a moment of need.
May the Force be with you both.

Those plants are evil and just another SOE time sink. "I'm sorry guild, I can't hunt tonight because I have to water my plant." Kinda like in high school when that cute girl you had a crush said she couldn't go out with you because she "had to wash her hair." AS for the update after everytime a person comes in is BS. We had one in our mall for god sakes and the foot traffic there is very high. It would have died in a few days.

just out of curiosity i would keep that plant on the off chance that it may have the seeds of a new one. it may soundnuts but hey..the village cycles from rebirth to destruction...why not the plant?
moral of the story..never throw anything away..
