I was wondering if there was a way to /tip when you didn't have the creds in your possession? I thought it was /tipbank or something like that, but I cannot remember, read it somewhere a while ago.

Yep, I never carry cash on me now. The syntax for the command is /tip <amount> bank. It will ask you to confirm the 5% surcharge and there you go. You'll get an in game mail telling you that you tipped soand so for such and such amount from the bank.

Example:

/tip 100 bank (If the person is selected)
or
/tip sleek 100 bank(If the person is unselected)

Note: The syntaxfor /tip thatI listed in the previous post was wrong. It's /tip <player> <amount> bank. Sorry about that.

bananaboy90,

1. yes, there is a better way than typing "/tell BobaFett" every single time.... it's "/r"! That will respond to the last person that send you a /tell.

2. As to camps, no, camps are one shot deals. Once you have used them, they are all used up.

This is the most helpful thread I've seen in this, and maybe any, game. Thanks all of you who contributed. I took notes and a lot of them ended with !!!

If you get lost or are somehow separated from your group.

Ask them for their coords.

Type: /waypoint xxxx xxxx
Where xxxx xxxx are the numbers they say.

You'll add a waypoint at that exact location.

Nice to know about the waypoint command. I can run out of town 10 meters and get lost.

If you view the world map, you can find trainers, buildings, etc by selecting from the list on the right side of the map. When you highlight a name, a green X appears on the world map. RIght click on the X and you can set a waypoint and then activate it.

Never travel from or to a starport unless you're changing planets, other wise you'll pay too much.

/find will generate an easily followable line to a certain location.

Set waypoints for rare locations like rebel/imperial terminals and battlefields.

You can e-mail waypoints

With a little practice, you can go up slopes faster by aiming diagonally

You can do TWO delivery missions at the same time

In the EQ control scheme ESC clears your target and F1 targets yourself.

Wow, didn't know that. Thanks.

And to add something myself...

Did you know you can make aliases? The syntaxt is as follows:

/alias <alias name> <whatever commands you want>

For instance consider the following alias:

/alias test /friendly Hello there %NT my friend.;/greet

Now every time you use "/test" it'll be as if you typed "/friendly Hello there %NT my friend.;/greet" in effect saying the greeting in a friendly way (putting your target's first name at the %NT) and then do the greet emote.

It is also very useful to make shortcuts for longer commands, like:

/alias ee /emote

Now if you use "/ee thinks aliases are a lot of fun." it'll be as if you typed "/emote thinks aliases are a lot of fun." and it'll form the thought bubble.

All kinds of wild fun can be had this way, to the point that it's even reported that you can loop aliases (though there's no way to break the loop again).

That's my tip.

Great Thread!

Here are my 2 cents:

For Missions: I couldn't understand why it took so long for some miisions (delivery) But then I figured out that some mission terminals have STARTING locations over 2000m. This is way to Far. Go to another terminal which has the STARTING location like 100 or 200m, this way you can assure yourself that the starting NPC will be in the same town as where you hit the terminal.

Then proceed as normal, get two missions to the same destination- hit the shuttle and boom your done.

This may sound simplistic, but it took me three days to figure out and much running. 1/2 hour to make 750 credits was such a waste. Last night i made 3300 in like 1/2 an hour.

*Note- some cities only have mission terminals with far off Starting locs, get on the shuttle and go to a new city.

If you hit Refresh enough, you should be able to find missions that start in the town, from the same terminal. I've never had a problem finding two missions that started in town and went to the same destination via shuttle. Sometimes it can take a few minutes (and uncountable Refreshes) to get though

Here's a helpful one, although you already may know of it.

If you are having difficulty with missions and you have a weapon specialty, mine is pistol, unequip the weapon and get missions again. They should be lower difficulty now. With pistol, my typical mission difficulty is 9, without it's 6.

Hehe-

I've tried that, for like 2 min and it never came up as close, while other terminals only had close. maybe i didn't do it long enuff.

Hi everyone... i wonder, is there a quick command to type in to do an area chat?...

my issue is when im in a team chat or a personal channel & someone runs up on me & asks me a question, i wish there was a fast command i could use instead of having to click the little tab then type. just a quick / command would help me so much like /r to reply to a tell works wonders.

i tried the /v thinking it might of been for vincinity, but thats some skill Ventriliquism so im not sure if there is one.
