Nice pics, good screenshots, but it leaves a couple questions:
Only the Imp helmet is actually meant "for space." It has a rebreather on the front, which the others lack.
Therefore it seems that the only ones meant to actually go into space are Imperial?
The devs haven't been noted for thinking too many things through completely, or paying attention to detail except for pretty things, useless except for window dressing.
But in this case it means life or death, survival or not, in the "real" JTLadventure into space.
Sure, Han Solo and Chewy didn't need space suits in the Millenium Falcon, but a fighter pilot NEEDS a full helmet with rebreather AND a SPACE SUIT, most closely matched by the Imp flight suit, and definitely not by the Nylon-looking orange POS pajamas that Luke wears and the Rebels get.
Oh, one last thing: When in the course of piloting skill-climbing do the various factions get these helmets???????
Imp - after SECOND QUEST, while stilla NOVICE pilot, with NO skill boxes earned!!
Rebel - after MASTER PILOT!!!
SHEESH! And Imps complain because they can't get freakin' faction furniture??? (see other thread on faction items this forum)

Tie Fighters don't have life support systems. That's why they need the helmets.
X-Wings, however, do.

actually..from what i saw...we have the boots, the gloves and the fighter suit all in the game and craftable..we're just missing the plain old version of the helmet..
also we'd like the capes+helmets they wore on endor to destroy the second death star...the helmet was taken out..dunno why though.

reason imp hats and rebel helms were taken out were because of a "art clipping" issue, people with mohawks would clip through the top of the hat, and apparently that was the reason they were removed and when the themeparks were revamped they never made it back in etc. oh well

what ever happened to the endor helmet i see people walking around with? how did they get that? that, in my opinion, would be a much better faction reward than the stinking helmet i wasted my 2700 rebel fp on!

the reb commando helmet is the one taken out of the game. The biggest kick in the balls was i saw dozens of screenshots with reb pilots wearing it. Not to mention the jump to lightspeed manual with a picture of the "rebel pilot" wearing one lol. People still have them left over i guess from the early days, i paid 500k for mine and its 0 condition

Heh, yeah, the Rebel's Endor-style helmet was actually a theme park gift back in the day. Then, when they revamped the theme parks, they removed it as one of the rewards!
I do agree that some of this stuff is just inexplicable. The Rebel faction helmet is the weirdest thing I've ever seen...makes you look like a conehead! Yet the sort of rounded troop helmet -- like the kind the Rebels wear at the beginning of Episode IV -- don't exist at all! Man, I play as a Rebel...I just want to look like one.
