Jai-Qon, you're supposed to be able to travel to any starport from any other starport if you own your own ship. One of the last builds of beta introduced a bug in which the starship terminal always thinks you're on Tatooine, severely limiting travel options. That workaround is going to be VERY useful. Five stars!

OIC!

Thanks for clearing that up. I noticed that bug, but just thought it was a limiting factor of your ship or something. One question though... If our player ships aren't tied to normal transport lanes, how come we can't go from Talus to say... Rori once the bug is fixed or the workaround used. I suppose I should ask if the workaround accomplishes this as well?

Just curious as to me, this is one of the main bonuses to having your own ship.

EDIT: 5* to both of you who explained it so nicely! Thanks!

I've been trying to remember what the reticle select command was since the beta forums closed. Just because I discover something doesn't mean I can remember it.

Also I believe the valid range was something like 0-9 or 0-10. I only think a few are usable reticles. HOWEVER, you're selection actually sticks across logout!

VOILA! A bio with color.

Check out last week's tips

No f laming here,

but I find it interesting that you removed item naming colorization because it wasn't easy to use (so you told us) and now you are advertizing us to use the same thing for bio.

Am I missing something there?

SeemsI forgot to add some tips:

create a macro to mout (/mount) yout speeder and bind it to a hot key (I use *), very handy when you have to mount fast to flew away some nasty mob or Pvper.

You just have to target your vehicule then run to it and use you macro when by it.

In my real macro is /maskscent; /pause 1; /mount;

I have another macro to dismount (/dismount)

Yeah, they didn't remove item coloring because it was difficult to use. They removed it because they feared it gave sellers an unfair advantage of having their item names stick out on the bazaar withoug having to pay the cost of listing it as a premium auction. Or that was the explanation we were given. It seems they could have just had the bazaar strip the color codes when showing the names, but maybe that would be difficult to implement.

A tip:

You can use these color codes when naming a waypoint, house, harvester, or backpackto help you keep your things organized better.

Oh and here's a link to some HTML color codes. The code is the full 6 digits from left to right, wrapping to the second row. It's alittle hard to read, but not really.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

That's correct

We do want to add it in the future as something players get when they use the "premium auction" feature so that the premium feature has a real advantage.

  • /ui radarselect #

    • Where # is a number between 0-5 (I think).

    • Changing your radar display.

  • CTRL-SHIFT-G

    • Show detail game information, e.g: FPS, build number, the amount of time you spend on ground etc.

I'll add more for next week Tuesday tips

Hmm, I'm sure I remember there being a 0 too... 1 is the only one I care about though.

On a completely different topic, I can't believe after a year people still have that extraneous \ in there. When you do \#000000\Whatever, the second \ isn't needed. You can just do \#000000Whatever. You can also do \#. to go back to the "default" color, whatever that is.

Ok you space junkies. I just learned something totally awsome.

No longer are we victims of the targeting angle bug with the top/bottom invunerablity.

On your screan in space, there is a little yellow dot in the center of your targeting system. never moves.

The enemy has a second little yellow dot that follows him around.

The trick of it all is to get those two pesky little dots on top of each other. the closer the better and you will score hits like never before.

I have tested this multiple times now. Try it out, and see if it works.

No more mister nice guy dying in space. time for a little revenge.
