Not that I know any other community managers who might have plagiarized the content for a Friday Feature, complete with typos, and proudly put it on the front page.

This demolishes my "Tiggs is TH with a different font" theory entirely. Kudos!

Awesome Guide! It's concise, yet thorough, and clearly outlines the role and function of droids in space. The abilities of droids and their components have always confused me, and with the recent expansion, my confusion deepened.

Thank you!

Ales Sre'Pasrih: The Sassiest Twi'lek of AhaziAhazi's namesake: A New Republic Hajen-class fleet tender assigned to the Fifth Battle Group. It was destroyed on its final training mission near Bessimir when it overshot its hyperspace exit point. It plunged into the planet's atmosphere and disintegrated.

I have one question re droids in ships that I may have missed when reading the guide... (lousy idea to read when dealing with a massive headache.. but I'm addicted.. no.. pls.. keep the white coats back..)

er.. onto the question.

How many programs can a droid store? Is it based on the level of the Astromech or on the level of the data storage devices inside or some other way in which I don't know anything about...

I'd like to see more information on that myself, but the short answer is the storage amount is determined by the droid or flight computer's level and the amount of space a program takes up is determined by its level and purpose. I don't have exact numbers at hand (would have tested this in beta if I hadn't lost mycharacter, my houseand everything in it toa zone collapse ) but a program like Weapon Normalization takes less space than Weapon Overload I.

I also noticed one omission:

It would be helpful to explain that a flight computer must be initialized and that once that is done it goes to your datapad and the storage is accessed from the radial. The guide is somewhat out of date in that regard, from the beta days when the flight computer just sat in your inventory....

Question about the program chips ...

I understand that I can use any of the faction programs ... but, for clarification purposes, I'd like to know, then what is the limitation? Am i limited by how far up that tier I have gone? or is that once it's been programmed, a chip can be used by ANYONE ? meaning that it wouldn't matter how far up the tree you go, you can use the programs ...?

ok .. I hope you get to answer this ( I don't have the game yet [if you would have offered it as a download it would have been easier for me to sneak it past my wife and onto the computer ] , or I would test it myself )

Wow so we can use any faction droid command as long as we have the chip for it. And i cna be anovice using master commands?? Is this right?

So you only need the skill to make the chip?? But not use the command.?

Just clarify this and i'll be on my way. Thanx.

a little off topic......(a lot that is)

since this was the only place in the forums JTL was listed(that i could find) i wish to toss out a question(thats out, not off you sick little monkeys). in the first mission at jabba place it says that i need to steal weopons back from these guys who have them. well when i get there, i cant target any of the ships. if the freighter is destroyed i lose the mission. cant target 1 cant destroy the other. i tried using pirate trap, it kept them occupied for a time but soon they all flew off.not sure what to do; completely stuck. if you have beaten this mission, please help with a walk through. thnx

Many kudos to TheRealTK421 and Tiggs for putting this guide in the spotlight! Very informative, concise, and, overall, well-written.

This is coming from a now very happy MDE on Wanderhome who felt quite bad when customers came to me with questions I had no definitive answers too (most were just guesses and unconfirmed theories). Kinda sucked having the master tag above your head and saying something to the effect of "....uhhh....i'm not sure....sorry."to a customer with a question regarding the new droid/flight computer features and how they worked.

Thanks, thanks, and....thanks again!
