In beta, you could open up the original (As in, the one in standard SWG) travel thingy, close it, and open up the travel window from JTL and the map would display correctly

Some tips until the bug is fixed:

If you can't fly directly there, launch into space instead and hyperspace.
Go to the space station named for the planet in the POI screen. Factioned space stations can't clear you to land.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

why pay 3k to go to endor when you can just jump their for free using the terminal..

the money sink from traveling is something the game needs.

why should i have to use metro transit? it is a space game right?

i should be able to fly my craft or ride on a charter for the cost of maintaing my craft or paying for transit on anothers. this is the new money sink, and instead of it going into nowhere, the credits go back into the player economy. better system.

Ok, I see your point...but doesn't the money just amazingly come from out of nowhere also.....I mean missions pay us, but where does that money for missions come from....same place the money you spend on travel goes to.......Also, you forget that using the travel option cost absolutely nothing at all (no fees, no maintainence on anything)....you don't even risk any kind of decay or damage to your ship when you use it....so essentially everyone in the game can travel to every single planet for free if the travel feature allowed us to do so......honestly, I wouldn't pay to travel anywhere if I know I can use the space terminal where my ships are parked and travel for free. that would save me 3k travel per trip....I don't think the devs really want to do this since they're already concerned about making money sinks anyway.

So the big picture would show that every single player in the game would potentially use the free travel (so as long as they have a ship) and when you add it all up....that's a heck of a lot of money that the game does not suck out of the economy. We're probable talkingmillions per month and possibly billions for the more heavily populated servers.....Personally I can spend between 50 - 100k in traveling per day alone (with all the trips back and forth to dath and dant.....almost 7 -8K round trip each time)......so if I do that myself, how many other people are doing the same thing or more now since the FS grind has us going back and forth more than we use to.

honestly though....the travel system is something that lazy people like.....or those who want instant this and instant that.....you know, people that want to cut corners, save time.....and no, there is nothing wrong with that....but the whole shuttle system should not be thrown out the window simply because we want the option to instantly transport from any planet to any other planet. Afterall, you can still travel for free in your ship anyway....just go to space and jump to light speed.....but that's the little effort it takes which will be more than some people want to do because it would actually take longer since you have to sit through 3 loading screens and a 2 minute hyperspace routing routine. It don't cost you any money but a bit of extra time.Even if you have to jump from rori -> theed -> coronet -> Dath, it would probably be on par with hyperspacing or maybe even faster.....why? Well because once you hyperspace to a new system you have to normally travel a lot farther to land on a station, whereas jumping shuttles you don't even have to run to the ticket terminal to buy a new ticket.....if you use the ticket purchase macro.....Even the five minute wait isn't bad, however since it's been 5 minutes shuttles, I have never had to wait longer than 3 minutes when planet hopping (90% of the time shuttle is already there or just landing when I load in and I can immediately jump to the next planet).

My opinion, I don't want the space terminals to give us free travel to any planet of our choice.....it should be limited only because I see it as a bonus feature and the thinking that "I have a ship and can go from any planet to another" kind of thinking should mean that you have to launch into space and actaully use your ship to travel to the new planet....not click a button and your instantly there never having seen a flicker of your ships engines.......

There's always a price for convenience.....but what's the price for the instant travel convenience? There is none currently.

OK, I thought I travelled from Tatooine to Yavin IV with no stopovers in Corellia? After the Rebel missions Tier 1 you need to travel to Yavin. I dont recall having to go via Corellia.

Clicking the planet select screen and then clicking on the planet I was on seemed to fix this for me, let me go where I wanted.

Stupid bug though.
