I doubt it. But a nice piece of furniture or clothing would be highly appreciated

The gift will be being able to actually log into the game.

Expecting a gift isn't greedy you moron. A gift is defined as follows:

"Something that is bestowed voluntarily and without compensation"

It can be a worthless item to a million dollar ring. I expect a gift. A token of appreciation. A happy holidays.

I expect it from my boss and my friends and family. I do not expect it to have a significant monetary value. I want them to remember me and appreciate me as I do they. I would send SOE a christmas gift but I cannot seeing as soe is a nameless faceless organization. I expect things I pay a 149.99 subscriptions to to wish me a happy holidays with a token of appreciation. Even my magazine sends me a christmas card.

Great point. Gifts show respect and appreciation. No matter what it is, it's still worth that.

I have to agree with most the people here... Where is the reward for being a loyal customer? Only reward anyone has ever gotten is a Sorosuub, and that's not anything to write home about, considering it only takes 6 months to get it, it's slow as Moses, and can't be upgraded. I checked my time the other day... over 520 days... a second account that is 510 days... and a third that is going on 250.

Other games reward loyalty, give perks. SWG just doesn't get it.

When the /claimvet command came out there was many different levels... I believe like 60 90 180 260 and 480??? something like that... Now there is just 180... what happened there? You wanted to give us something for those levels, but changed your mind?

And then you go and reward players who have quit with free time... LOL

What's the deal SOE? Aren't we more than just money to you? Show us some love

Life Day was a excellent Chirstmas season gift. Very creative and vastly more interesting than just having something show up in inventory.

Merry Christmas anda Happy New Year

Sorry, but there will be no "automatic" Christmas gift this year.

I do want to thank the events team for pulling all of the Life Day events together though.

TH, we loves ya but MMORPG demands something more tangible to commemorate this season in our lives.

How about giving everyone with JTL a pair of fuzzy dice that we can hang in our cockpits?

We wanted to make the holiday gift this year be more consistent with the Star Wars Galaxies themeand alsogive you something to do to receive this gift. Glad you liked it, the events team worked hard on this and they did a bang up job. =)

Uh...

And how are the developers being thankful and grateful to us subscribers who continually give them our trust that they are going to pull through?

The combat rebalance has been pushed back and back and back and back to the point where it has become a myth. Is there REALLY a combat rebalance in the works? I put my hope in it but surely wouldn't bet on it.

And that is one of many examples on how the developers have disappointed.

Last year they had a Life Day thing. They also had a Christmas thing.

This year they have a Life Day thing. They also have no Christmas thing.

Huh?

What happeend to the tradition that was established last year?

What about the grand majority of people who DO celebrate Christmas for both the religious purpose and the tradition of bringing families together? Christians, Catholics, Jewish, Athiests... Most all celebrate Christmas.

The developers, along with the rest of this crumbling nation, are already whiting out Christmas by replacing it with "holiday" in an attempt to rid the world of Christ. It's enough you can't even name a vendor or house or item in SWG Christmas but you can Channukah or any other "holiday."

Amen and Amen

Disapiunted in the no x-mas gift this year, I had been looking forward to that.

/hint hint

You did highlight 'automatic' so maybe thats what you meant?

Sorry, but no hinting. I alwayswork to be as literal as possible.

The only holiday event are the LIfe Day events, but I encourage everyone to check them out. There is a robe, paintings, and the orb that players can get.

Let me translate into English:

Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you like crap!!

OMG YEAH!

This DEFINATLY tops the cute Santa hat players on FFXI get for doing a small, much-more-interactive quest. And oh gosh tiggs... This is WAY better then seeing a static town decorated for Christmas.

/sarcasim off

A disappointment to see no effort put into the Christmas season, New Years, a "Thanks for sticking with us for the year even though we continue to delay," especially when there is nothing done for any other holiday.

Last year a tradition was created. The Life Day thing and then a gift on Christmas day. That was expected again this year.

It is a proven fact that traditons help keep families close and together... The same would ring true for a community, which infact it does.

The developers not continuing in the tradition they have set forth makes us all feel as if the developers do not appreciate our business, input and do not agree on what we felt was a community and bond between the developers and players.

Major disappointment.

I dont understand how people can just "expect" gifts... The development team have been hard at work this year to bring us a great game. To me, that is a gift in itself....

The devs have brought us a great game. I agree. However a small token of appreciation during the holidays goes a long way with people. Especially when those people are paying customers. No one was 'expecting' a free account... just some sort of decoration or maybe even a cool piece of clothing. Stuff that you'd give IRL to someone to let them know you appreciate them.

Eh... What are the Life Day gifts then? Don't those count as a small token of appreciation? In my opinion these gifts are better than last years. They give us more information about the tradition we are celebrating.

Good job, SOE!

(in before the delete?)

What tradition is that we are celebrating? The one the developers began last year but decided to end like the story arcs?
