Thread: Perminantly Give Up being able to be a Jedi for the Second Slot

I don't want to be a Jedi, and I know many others who feel the same, yet they are working twards Jedi for the second character slot. Making the second chracter slot a "bonus" for becoming a Jedi only makes more people want to be Jedi, and thus increase the number of Jedi in the game. I say reduce the "want" by allowing a seperat set of quests to unlock the slot and lock the character out from the Jedi Trials.
Not Everyone who is working twards Jedi realy Want to be Jedi, do SOMETHING to allow us to unlock the second slot either without having to become Jedi and perminantly locking away 24 SPs, or allowing us to DROP Jedi after opening up the second slot.

im going jedi for sure..make my second character a fighter tho so i can still enjoy stuff without being raped in pvp.

Your so very right. I know plenty of people as well that just want that second slot and working hard towards jedi even thou they dislike the jedi profession.
This sounds like a very good idea and im giving you 5 stars.

I like this idea. It gives all of us achance to get something extra without doing somethign we didnt really want to do in the first place.

I just gave up on the quests in the first place. I am just keeping 1 tree of FS on my main. The Melee Defense Tree. Gave up all the rest. Since I can't get my extra slot unless I make my main a Padawan....I don't feel it's worth it to me to get a glow stick, just to get a second slot. Cheers and Good luck to the people that want to do it. I won't bash you for it. It's just not for me.

I'm not after a Jedi, but I would like a second slot.
I keep unlocking the lines I need and just convert my xp and bank the FXP without learning the boxes so I dont have to trash my template.
By the time I've banked enoughFXP to run up all the lines I have left they may have made it possible to drop Padawan.
I'm not sure if there is a cap on FXP, I doubt it as the conversion process from hologrinders meant you had to hold a few million at a time.

Just do the fecking Quests without Getting any retarded Jedi skills if u think it is so bad! i mean ffs u get friggin enhanced skill mods from the 24 FS Skills u need anyway! ... If this board wasnt monitored i would shout at u... but i wont... But damnit just finish the FS Skills and get on with your life... i mean DO THEY FORCE U TO GRIND JEDI!??! No? I think not!

But ok... i have to agree... they should allow ppl to drop the Skills if they want to! They shouldnt be locked up ..

To get the Second Slot...You need to complete the Padawan Quests, and KEEP Padawan to maintain the slot. This is the complaint. There are people that don't want any part of Jedi.

Wouldn't it be better that when you unlock the second character slot you get to choose which is the Jedi. The character you've been grinding with to get that the unlock, or the second character slot.
This way you can have your character you've built up maintain their professions if you want and not be forced to be a Jedi or even force sensitive. You could push all of the force stuff over to the second character slot and grind Jedi from there.

I think that's the way it USED to be with Holo Grinding....Can a Pre-Jedi Revamp Jedi confirm this?

At this point I agree a separate system for non-jedi seekers who want the extra slot would be nice.
However, we have to remember that the purpose of the second slot was not to give to every single person on the server. They never intendend for all of us to have 2 slots on one server. From my understanding, and I'm assuming here, but with all the evidence I've seen.....the second slot was a bonus to those who became jedi simply because once you were able to get a jedi, you had to create a new character to be the jedi so that you don't mess up and lose all that you have done with your main character.
Most people didn't know about the second slot at the launch of the game and ceratainly didn't make their main character with the plans of them becoming a jedi.....so the devs allowed a second character slot (which was a jedi character slot).
Since the change of the jedi system, I guess they felt it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the server or those in the middle of unlocking jedi to not give them a second slot too when unlocking. The players who already had jedi and their main had 2 slots on the server already and they couldn't just force them to make their main a jedi just to make it fair to the whole server and everyone have one slot. So they had no choice but to leave the second slot in.
Now just becuase the system was bad and they had to change it, does that mean they should make it any easier for those that don't want a jedi to get the extra slot. I don't know really.....but I don't think it will change simply because the extra slot was not meant for the use of having a second character on the server....it was for making a jedi and that's why you still have to do the trials and become a padawan to unlock the extra slot. So it would be nice to have a separate system....but I don't think it will happen.

At lest let us drop the FS skills.... I stopped wanting to get my second slot but I still have 3 skills chugging up needed skillpoints

This is why I gave up on the "Second Slot Quest"...Wasn't what I wanted to do. So...I moved on to other things. Like vaping any NPC ship that comes within my crosshairs. I'm a better pilot then a Jedi any day. lol
