Someone needs to explain why we don't get holiday themed items. Here are a couple simple ideas.
1) Tailors make masks & Costumes
2) Archys make a Holiday Decoration Kit.... inside u make 1 out of the available items. (you can have xmas tree for xmas, or pumkins for holloween, or Easter Eggs for easter)
3) Chefs Can make Turkeys, or candy for trick or treating. or gingerbread house for xmas.
I could keep going, but then SOE wouldn't have any good ideas of there own.
Also I would TOTALLY accept Star Wars Holidays as a replacement.... as I think most people would. Maybe even more !

not to ruin your parade but SWG takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
X-mas is a Christian holiday
Halloween was an occasion started by early American settlers (puritans, moravians, etc)
Thanksgiving is an American only holiday
these would not take place in star wars, but there are star wars holidays as you stated. Life Day was celebrated last year.
Life Day was originated by Wookiees and was adopted by other species and cultures.
They did the Wookiee Life Day celebration last year and gave life day orbs and life day robes out. maybe they will again this year
Players have also had a habit of making their own holiday items, i remember last year a tailor made "santa" suits and they sold like hot-cakes! lol

Not to ruin your fun, but I said I would accept SWG holidays.
Also IMP are based on Earth Nazi's and if we can base such a large part of the game on earth then we can do what we want...
if for no other reason.... IT IS JUST A GAME!

whoa, sorry to rub you raw, i just tried and give the information in a kind and informative manner and get CAP LOCKed. would you have rather had someone troll it and say you are stupid or whatever low level adjective they can come up with?
and i gave you the credit on the SW holidays part

and from what your saying the Wookie Holiday which was an Xmas show that came out 20 years ago never existed then. TRUST ME they have Xmas in SW. Sadly the wookie holiday was a bad example of this but it did happen *GAG*

Well if you play on Tarquinas you can head over to the city of Avalon, where my personal favourite tailor Talulah has gone to great lengths to make SWG based Halloween costumes for anyone who wants them. I thought it was a nice touch. I even bought two of them. Oh and Canadians celebrate thanksgiving too. Infact today is thanksgiving here. Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians out there.

Good post, I think that they are making a whole lot of new cloths available in JTS. Keep this up, and maybe we can get a few of our ideas in. For starters I was surprised that wedding dresses were not available. I think they should be hard to make, and have to be master. If you look on community upcoming events, nearly all of them are weddings. So you would think that there would be wedding dresses.... LOL, well anyway it's interesting now to watch people create things to improvise. I must say the only wedding I have ever gone to was pretty spactacular, with nice fireworks, and a party in the cantina. At the end they passed out wine/beer. It made for an interesting time. As for holoween, I already have my Green Fro ready to go, and my holoemotes stocked and ready to spam the haunted one!!

Like the tent idea for entertainers..would be an excuse to get some of them out from theed and corralorralag if we could see them from a distance...
As for thanksgiving speaking as a non american I wouldnt like to see it in SWG niether would I like to see any religious rubbish creeping in to the game. and IMPs were not based on Natzis at all you little pimp they were based on the enemies of the Bhuddists according to the original book authors as the jedi were based on Bhuddists which is why Lucas used so much Buddist symbolism in New Hope...

last halloween i saw someone had taken a bunch of sword cores and "made" a spider web across the upper balcony in the med/large Naboo house and taken a BE spider (can't remember which one, big one though) and placed it on the web, was kinda cool 'cause back then they didn't have /moveup and /move down....they had steps darnit!
