Making a new toon and wondering.
Whats the best PvE template?

it all depends on what it is you want to hunt.....
most people will say swordsman and something,
I would have to agree, the area attacks that swordsman has do a good amount of damage to multiple enemies and the fact that the power hammer does blast damage means that NS's should'nt be to much of a problem.
check out the swordsman forums and see what other toons people have done for hunting and PvP.

Personal opinion, but here it goes:
Master Swordsmen, Master Brawler, Teras Kasi Master, Medic 4140. Leaves you with 2 Skills points. Drop Medic 41xx to pickup FS Skills Melee accuracy and Melee Speed, but the benefits of these are debatable.

swordsman is only effective if you are at or near the speed-cap. if you only have the master speed modifiers, +75, then you'll be doin max around 600-800 dps. i found swordsman to be ineffective with a power-hammer, i exclusively used a speed-sliced scythe for everything. the speed cap is almost attainable with the skills available. master swords + brawler, and the FS speed mods will get you to +92 speed.

I was thinkin something like:
Master Sword
Master TKA
Fencer 4 0 0 0
Medic 4 1 4 0
Leaving me with 2 skillpoints, and no spaceship skills (I dont have JTL yet, and dont know if i should save some skillpoints for pilot)?

master swords/master rifle with fs melee speed. there's some things you don't really want to go toe to toe with, especially DJK and DJM, and concealshot lets you take those down no sweat. it can be done with Mswords/Mbrawler, but you need to be quick on the heals and a few good mind hits would put you in a bad position.

TKM 4000/Master Swords/Master Rifleman and Medic 0040 with some good stim E/D's and some comp armour and your all set

Combat Prowess 0014
Get +3 in 2h speed, two Aakuan rings, and a Lightweight MilPack, and you're set.
Stim-Ds are overrated when you can intimidate and warcry2 to take your time healing with Stim-Bs. And if you're fighting mobs such as Nightsisters or Giant Canyon Krayts, FORGET about primary melee/ranged defense stats. They might work against quenkers and pikets, but you can forget about it working on anything that drops valuable loot.

Pikeman 0040
Medic 2000

TKM maxes out on speed... so TKM for sure... and swordsman do a lot of damage... so TKM and Swordsman for sure

personal opinion... spd capped swords with 0040 commando
or...
0040 commando master rifles and some lines of tk(make sure u get mitigation 2)

Im Master Brawler, Master Fencer, and Master TK with some FS speed.
I can rip rancor lairs to shreads. I just got to where Im at a few nights ago and havent tryed any of the other tough mobs yet, so time will tell. Mine may not be the best template, but it sure is fun.
