Just curious how you handle all the tells flying at you. Do you respond to everyone? Do you get people who want to chat after they ask you to put them in line? Do you ever tell someone to stop sending tells? How often do you send someone a MT? LOL. Just seeing how you all deal with it.

If it gets bad i say st fu to every one. On Gorath there are crazy buff lines like 15-20 people long I probally get about 20 tells a day with out my tag to buff people i would say easily 100 a day if i have the tag on. Just do this charge15-20k if they want it then they'll pay you, you do get less traffic but you have a lot mor buffs because your buffing the people that want it.

I un-check the box in my profile so people cant search for me, then remove my MD title whenever traveling through Coronet

I only wear my MD tag when I'm buffing. I do all of may stationary buffing in CNet or in Theed.

I answer all my tells, I guess I'm just a fast typer I do use an effective line management system. As soon as someone says they want a buff, I add them to my queue.

ex:

/say Current Line: patient1, patient2, patient3...

The best part is that you can scroll through your previous spatial chats by using the up and down arrows. So as soon as I'm done with patient1, I'll scroll up and delete the name from the list and hit enter. I also use '*' for people that I'm holding spots for, and '+' for someone that has already paid.

It's effective and it gives people a constant reminder where they are in line, which cuts down dramatically on tells. I also have a running macro with my buff information (price, refund info, and duration).

Choosing to wear your title is just asking for business like any other crafting profession

'So and so asks...' Hey, are you buffing?'

/reply No

The End...?

If it continues...

/reply I only have crap packs on me, I need to make more good ones, sorry.

What if someone want my "supposed" crap packs? Hasn't happened yet.

Simple... I dont.....

Make an AFK message stating.... "I am currently selling buffs for *price* at *location* please do not tip me till i ask."

still get people that walk up when i have a line of 10+ people and send me the creds and get mad cause i dont buff them right then and there.

wish there was like a window thing that docs get that as people tip it adds to the list.

A combination of fast typing and I turn off my tag which stops 90% of tells, anymore can be got rid of with an AFK tag.

I actually had someone come up to me last night asking why I had a Novice Medic title on, "Aren't you a Master Doctor?" I quickly told him, "Shhhhhhhh, not so loud, this is Theed". If someone does break my cover (i.e. look a my badges) then I just come up with some excuse why I'm not buffing. This allows me to be creative.

  • I'm just waiting for a friend

  • Out of buff packs, sorry

  • I only buff on advanced planets, since people in Theed won't pay my prices

  • I'm out of droid batteries

  • Well, XXXXXX thinks I charge too much, so I don't buff anymore

  • Hey, aren't you the same guy that never tipped any of us medics when we started? (my favorite)

lol tell hell is easy for me. My afk answer is set up to answer all questions that could possibly be thrown at me. The best part of my answer is the bit that says sort order of buffing yourselves please, i am not here to organise a playschool of children as well as buff. Also my macro shout has all the answers in it as well. And if i do get spatial questions then i say read the damn macro.. its there for a reason not for show.

So far my queues are pretty well organised and i dont have to do much.

Seems like most people's problems are that they wear their MD tags when they don't want to buff. That's easy enough to fix.
