Thread: Buffs and armor

Well, I didn't see this in the FAQ, and last night I tested it myself. I had five people line up with full sets of composite. I buffed them, killed them, revived them, and buffed them again.

The first time around, they all had the armor on. The buffs were all below 1500. The second time around they were all naked (yeah, I had fun with THAT one!) and almost all of the buffs were over 1500 - most even went over 2000.

So I managed to confirm it in my own little way - armor hurts buffs. I'm making everybody strip before I buff them now, and that's not just for the eye candy, either!

So that's a slate of 5 people*6 stats=30 buffs.

Do you have the actual numbers?

Even so that's not a very big sample.

Were there any other factors? Were you using a droid? If so did you recharge it before doing each person (just in case).

Did they have Battle Fatigue when you did the first set, but had just gotten back from healing it up at the cantina for the second set?

Did you change clothes betweent he first and second set of buffs, and if so did any of your clotes have a Wound Treatment skill modifier on them?

I have seen a few docs request that armor be taken off before buffing, but I myself have never noticed any difference in my own buffs. Is there any merit to this?

Before publish 7 some doctors thought that armor might effect buffs. But with randomness taken out we now know that armor doesn't effect buffs and battle fatigue under 250 doesn't effect your buff either.
