must have been at least 8 or 9 in there,

i aksed all of them to help my mate as i ran out of packs and not one offerd to help!!

what is it comeing to when you can even get a quick heal for a friend in need.

jesus, some people cant even be botherd to take 2 min from fixing a tumbler to heal some one thats your job.

this has happend loads of times im in a hospital full of medis and ocs and im the only one healing real case`s with people queing up.

from now on im telling you now , from now on im going to buff every tumbler in the building if it happens again!

Been in a similar place before. Sade to see a cantina full of afk macro heads. But it sickens me to see a med center full of afk tumbers and afk healers. I cant wait for the reblance to stop the tumble/start-stop dance healing garbage.

I know it can feel annoying and frustrating but It's not our job to fix every player and most don't even bother tip afterwards and some don't even say thanks. Same for all we're playing this game out fo fun (I hope) and we don't have any obligations towards other players. Same as I would ask you to kill spawns front of my house cause you're combat profession. People help if they feel so and unfortunately most tumble-healers are afk most propably so they might have not even noticed you being there.

A holo grinder is not a medic or doctor. A real doctor is a proffesional and 1 out of those 10 people would have healed you if they were real doc's.

I spent hours sitting in the med center healing people when they came in...trying to do the medical thing without using tumblers. I got maybe a total of 3-4k med xp a day sitting there. Might have made a whole whopping 5k in tips and a handful of thanks. After days of this, well, I moved on to using the tumblers and a macro. With the buffs everyone gets, few people need more than BF and mind heals. Not much for medics to really do past the odd person here and there.

as already stated its not 'our job' to heal everone who wanders past or asks/demands to be healed, i remember when i was slowly climbing the doc tree some people would say thanks and the odd person would tip me afew creds, only 1 person tiped me well (7k) and thats when i was near master doc using C's to heal and i healed all his stats with 1 hit of each pack and he was impressed with the speed i healed him(his words) maybe if you had offered afew hundered creds to 1 of them they would have helped or asked politly if they could heal (maybe you did) but all this 'it your job to heal me, cure my desease/poison, buff me or travel 10km to the other side of the planet to res me cos your a doc and its what you do!' is complete rubbish. As i just told someone on my server about 5mins ago and im slightly annoyed by it even more so when i asked 'and what will i get out of it' and i was told.. 'THE XP!!!!' i then politly asked why i would need the XP seeing as i was already a master, i was then called lame and afew other words.. needless to say he or she is not on my ignor list

sorry to sound off, but if you noticed i am a master doc.

why be a doc if you dont want to heal?

i dont mind if people dont pay me for heals thats was my desition to become master ,

as for saying no body says thanks for healing , so i will heal nobody it is madness.

sounds to me like some body is takeing there bat and ball home.

so as master doc i should heal nobody, unless they offer me money,

sit in a hospital all day with hundreds of others and grind all day.

what happend to team play.

must just be me whats off my head. if i see some one asking for heals i give them one, if i see a newbie struggleing for cash i tip them, if i go on group hunts i buff for free!

you may find people actualy recognise you on your server you make friends, i have loads of people who come up to me and say hi,

even give me things when they have spare cash ect.

its all team work, trust me people do remember when you help them and one day you may need them.

i was no doc once just like others and i asked some one to heal me they were a medic, they said no! they wanted paying first i had no money and left. the next time i noticed them they were asking me for buffs desperatley on dartoonie, i had great delight in saying no!!! they even offerd me 25K i still said no.

what goes around comes around you will see.

but the next time i bumped in to them they

First, just ignore all the AFK people out there of every profession, they are not part of the community.

Second, there is no such thing as a free ride, I don't know why people expect to be healed for free. When I needed XP I healed for XP, as a Master Doc, all tells for service are replyed with the same answer, "Np, $xxxx amount pls". The price depends on my mood. Oh, and I am still very generous, if I see a poor sucker standing at a starport or in a fight for his life against a creature to big for him, I dish out heals like candies in a parade.

Third, if you are a master doc, why don't you just use your /tendwound; /tenddamage; /quickheal commands? You don't need packs for these.

My suggestion in the future would be to look for a noobie who'll heal you and your team for xp or just ask a real doc, "Could you heal my mate, how much?" you'll likely get better answers.

I agree with Smiler. I am a doc cause that is what I enjoy doing. I have healed and helped so many people, that I am walking around and people saying hi to me like we are old buddies, and to be honest I rarely remember who that person was. But that is my style of play. Some master Doctors only do it for the buffs for there guild or themselves.

I do get piffed some times when someone asks for a Rez and I give it folled with a stimp, and they run off without even a thank you! That gets us doctors piffed. And that is when I run through a medcenter and not help a single person. Kinda like when you are fighting a krayt, you get killed, clone run back and as soon as you get back you get waxed again. Eventually your too tired of being killed. We are too tired of being taken for granted.

If your courteous a REAL doctor, not those holo grinder, will stop and help you out!

<<from now on im telling you now , from now on im going to buff every tumbler in the building if it happens again!>>

ROFL! I've had this idea pop in my mind on several occasions. It's ridiculous that people use tumblers as a way to gain XP. I'm happy to say I never did this. Help out your fellow players by actually healing their wounds. Yeah they may not tip you, but oh well, deal with it. I heal anyone who asks. Just the other day I was out looking at clothing stores and someone asked me to heal him. Popped out the droid and bam, all done. No he didn't didn't tip, but I didn't mind either. I'm a doc and that's my job. As for holo grinders and anyone else looking to gain xp, just go around the Coronet starport and heal people's wounds there. That's how I got my xp. Tried sitting in the med center but no patients with wounds ever showed up. I sat in the starport where people come back from other planets and about half the people tipped me for healing them. Most of the people never even knew I healed them because they weren't fully loaded. When tey did notice they tipped me, lol. Every other shuttle brought at least one person with totally black bars. They're always grateful to have their wounds healed. Made Master in only two or three days just by sitting there. LOL.

I have a second character which is a master Doc to buff my main as required. 99% of the time he is logged off in my PC ready to buff in case of attack, other than that the only time he is logged in is when crafting. If I happen across a PA member who is injured I will heal.

If an indie asks for heals etc they get no response except a polite nofrom me unless I know them (and like them).

Even when on that character it is not my job to heal anyone and everyone I come across just because I'm a Master Doc. When on my combat guy I don't kill everything attackable that I run past either.

My responsibility is to my enjoyment of the game, which can include giving people free buffs, heals if that's what I feel like. But then if that's not the kind of mood I'm in it won't happen. Anyone can pick up novice medic and a few wound packs for very little. If they can't be bothered to do that why should I bother to heal them?

I find the expectation that every person who plays a character with medic skills is some on line version of a living saint strange. We are the same as 99% of people playing this game in that we have goals to achieve, things to do, places to be etc and stopping to help YOU may just not be on tonight's agenda.

Many players have novice med but they only buy Stims. Bad planning on their part. And as a Master Doc why aren't you running around with crates of everything you need so you don't run out? I carry a crate of at least 5 of each type of buff pack on top of the in use set. And wound packs/poison cures/state/stims cures etc are all in the 5-10 crate numbers in myback pack plus my working set in normal inventory. When playing my Doc character I am a Master Doctor, able to do anything and everything expected of a doc. I can cope with a large PvP event where Igive 100+ full buff sets a long with the accompanying Rez/poison/disease cures and wound heals.

Seems to me this is a case of a doc who isn't prepared for what he is getting into and players expecting something for nothing. The doc should prepare properly instead of blaming other medics for not healing what he should have been able to do. The people who want the free doc love should get a reality check.

I pay scouts, artisans, architects, weaponsmiths, dancers, musicians, armoursmiths, tailors, chefs, bio-engineers, droid engineers, ect for their services, yet I am to just heal and not expect compensation for my services? That is complete and utter crap.

I am not a hospital/med centerdoctor. I find it boring to sit in one spot for more than 20 minutes.I am not solely an enhancement doctor (again with the sitting in one spot). Im more a traveling practitioner enhancing those that can afford my price (Currently no charge on rez, wound or stim heals). If the 'patient' doesn't agree with the pricing, they have the right to go to another doctor.

All the other service providers have set pricing on their vendors. If you like the item and price, you buy it. If not, you walk away and search out another. Doctor while it is healing based support profession is still a SERVICE oriented profession. And as a service oriented profession they should be compensated. If Ihad to live on tips alone, I can assure you that the services I render would be considerably less, both in quality and type.

My services are in no way any less than those of the other service based professions. It takes time to gather, harvest, mine, craft, mass factory produce. If I cannot find the resource I need I have to either do without or hunt it down on a resource vendor, generally paying an inflated price. In order to further my healing abilities, I have invested heavily in clothing, droids, foods, drinks that not only improve on my wound treatment, but also my assembly and experimentation success rates. All this factors into my prices.

I love being a doctor. I love being able to give additional support with the group Im with by giving heal orrez on long hunting trips or while at some dungeon. I actually enjoy the crafting process. What I dont like is the presumption that it is "my job", the tells harassing because I told them "no" they couldnt get an enhancement, or my favourite "I dont have 10k for the buff, how about 4k." like Im the K-Mart of the Medical Profession. However, its not my job to heal. Its my choice.

As for enhancing those afk tumblers (thus removing the need for healing) I view that as a form of griefing (harsh word I know, but it is in my opinion). Just because someone is playing their game in a way you don't agree with in the game gives you no right to force your gameplay style on them. SOE has stated numerous times that AFK macroing isnt against their ToS. It was that view that prompted me to drop dancer (cant compete with 30 afk dancers and expect to make atip)and switch to doctor. I cant thank them enough for that.
