Okay, so I I'm a Ranger/TKA, and I really appreciate all the time you doctors spend buffing. Just sitting down on the ground in Coronet for hours buffing people who will probably make more cash then you. Just want to say thanks.

On the other hand, I would like to ask those people who buff without someone's permission not to. I was sitting in the Coronet medcenter and this guy grinding his way up the doctor tree went ahead and buffed me. Now, I was going to go ahead and get buffed later on, but now I was stuck with a 2 hour, +900 buff that was more or less useless.

But thanks again to you docs who do buff, just make sure that the person does want to be buffed.

Oh, and if there is a way to get rid of a buff without dying and having to insure everything, can you let me know? Thanks.

Havn't tried it yet but think they changed it with the patch and now better buffs just replace the bad/less good ones.

I have tried it and it DOES work perfectly. IN fact it works SO perfectly I over-wrote one of my buffs TWICE in the first day of the patch! See every once in a while I forget what buff out of the six I'm on, but I used to be safe because of that good ol' "already has an enhancement to that attribute" message... no more!! Nope on the first day of the patch, I forget which buff I'm on... guess Action... and BOOM... message pops up saying "You re-apply so-n-so's Action Enhancement"!! Hahaha... so he gains nothing since it's no longer random, and I'm out one charge. Did it again later that day too! So I finally created a "buffing macro" with the appropriate pauses... works like a charm and now I'm wondering why the dillie-o I never did this before!

But I also re-buffed another player who had gotten a sub-standard buff and upped it like 300 points - so yah it works.

Thanks a lot for the info. Now I don't need to worry about cloning and then asking for a DB to get rid of a bad buff.

But still, I think people should ask before they go ahead and buff someone. I've been a guinea pig for people wanting to grind buffs (no idea if this gives more xp) or grind Image Designer, but the difference is that they asked first.

Thanks again to all you docs.

The new patch has allowed for new buffs that are higher range will not only enhance you beyond the raneg of your current buffs but will also reset the timer. so you have no worries anymore.
For me that was a tactic i playa Rebel Doctor on Kettemoor. I purposefully tell IMPS i do not buff them if they are foolish enough to stand around talking smack and demanding buffs when i am in coronet or another rebel city you bet they are getting the 200 base 3 hour buff. That made it entirely enjoyable just watching them run. I even had a special droid made for the occassion with a 55 rating med module. buffed one guy for 239 to 300 for 3 hours on two of his stats i loved the tells he kept sending me.

"did i ask you to buff me!?"

my response: "yes remember you demanded i buff you even though i said, no imps"

No further response.

That's hilarious. Stupid Imps.

One more question, actually: Say you get one buff for 2 hours and one buff for 3 hours, and its a really good buff. When the 2 hours are up, you want to go and get rebuffed, but you still have an hour on one of the buffs. If the new buff isn't as good quality as the old buff but it lasts longer, will it replace it?
