I have been inactive for a bit and never really figured out this register stuff for doctors at med centers. Would someone please explain this for me?

first, what is the exact command?

What does it do? Where does it show up that there is a doctor at a center?

Do people actually pay any attention to wherever it shows up? Is there any value in it?

TIA

It should show up in your skill tree/boxes once you hit...novice doctor or combat medic I think (for hospitals of course). Command is something like /registerWithLocation or something such. (In the player hospitals (possibly NPC too), I use the fun register with planetary map terminal for this - this of course assumes that that city is registered itself on the planetary map.)

It's supposed to make the crescent moon into a shining sun under the planetary map, ctrl + v, when you click down a certain buildilng (as in hospital). That would list the registered hospitals on the planet (all NPC ones, andPCones who choose to), and have a little icon next to them. Moon means unattended, sun means attended. I'velooked at the thingy several times since PCs came out, but yeah, I'm not too sure if it works 100% correctly...some PC hospitals seem to be staffed no matter what time of day, which technically mightbe possible, but at all of thePC hospitals registered on the map?o_o I'm guessing there might be a bug if a registeredDoc (or CM) logs off in the hospital while still registered, but not too sure about it.

No idea if people pay attention to it anymore, but if it does work 100% of the time, it would definetly point people to staffed hospitals so that they canbe healed (which is the point ofhaving a hospital, right? )

No forced interaction (in an MMORPG?), but hey, the expansions sure seem forced.
