If you do a /who with his guild's name, contact someone else in the guild then ask who their leader is, you can let them know what an antisocial A-hole they've got in the guild. I did this once and got immediate satisfaction from someone who refused to pay for buffs received and was very rude with it. Unless you think he was bad enough for a harassment ticket. Think you need a /report to go with that though so it's probably too late.

Personally I would tell him I was down to my last few buff packs and if he wasn't a friend or in my group its would cost him100k for a set of buffs. Its not a refusal and you have given him a choice, one he wont take but thats not your problem

Your first mistake was that you kept entertainig him after telling him more than thrice, no.

/addignore when it gets to that point.

It didn't need to get to that point tough if you had said, I only have one set left and I need to use it on myself cause I just died...

(if you want to lie that is...)

OR

Hey I really dont have time and I dont do anyone but my friends, but if you really are in a bind I can do it for 50k.

at that point he will either flame you for your price or walk away.

I'm curious why you are so adament about not buffing, you took longer to tell him no, then come post here to tell us...get me?

I can see if you were running low on packs, and or time, but then you just tell that person that.

Or if you are really GCW, just say No, you're not a rebel, have a nice day. /addignore.

well, you buff one beggar, and another one comes along and sits down without even asking if you are buffing, bank tips you less than you would normally charge, and then you got yourslef a line that takes forever to finish....

Carry enough cash to cover what you'd charge for 2 complete buff sets at all time (I carry 30k minimum at all times in cash for this purpose). Then, when somebody just comes over and bank tips you, just tip them right back (cash means no extra 5% bank tip charge) and take a screenshot, just in case. I do this all the time with my alt when I just buff myself and don't want to spend the rest of the night buffing. Try it, you'll love the reaction you get

I can relate with you on this post. As for the name calling, had that happen with my master smuggler main character. This guy thought I should just be his personal slice monkey whenever was convenient for him. Slicing is like grinding medical crafting and is boring for me...I only slice for the vendors and myself now. Told him that and he goes off on the racist thing because I'm Imperial. Told him I stopped slicing over a month ago for anybody, faction doesn't matter, I just won't slice (like some docs just don't do buffs, no different). This guy's logic was smuggler = slicing, well it isn't. Smuggler is transporting "goods" from point A to point B, nothing to do with slicing lol. The no-slice rule is my way of "striking" until smugglers get smuggler content and most people understand that, but some just don't get it.

I have to say, dealing with people like that comes with the job. I think (if and only if you actualy can come through with a buff) that telling him your charging 50 or 100k is a good idea, however if they pay your kinda stuck. I also think that if evry Doc gave up doc because some jerkoff started swearing at you there would be no Docs. I'm not saying you shouldn't get upset when someone sweres at you, 'cause that can be upseting, you just have to ignore them. I have only been a Doc for a bout 2 weeks and evryone I've met/buffed has been very nice. I'm shure I'll meet my share of holes, but I don't plan on dropping Doc when I do.

I admire all the Docs who keep going and providing consistently good buffs, despite all the people who seem to forget this is a GAME.

Well when i first reached MD, i buffed for money just for the experience of it. It didn't take long to learn it wasn't always a fun experience.I was a master weaponsmith form launch until late february, so i really don't need the money and can afford to limit myself to factional/friend only buffing. I've had to deal with plenty dumb and insulting players, but this guy just got to me. Thanks all for letting me rant.

Ugh. I just had my worst experience as a doc yet. I was out on yavin, had just cloned with several from my group from the Geo lab. Then the fun begins. I had my droid out to heal with, did NOT have a title on at all, and was not buffed at the time. A guy wanders out of the cloning facility and either guessed i was a doc becaue of my droid or assumed it from my badge list (wish i could hide that :smileysad and begins begging for buffs. Not asking, begging. Gave a nice sob story of his wife being stuck in the lab and needing to get buffed to help her get out. I normaly don't buff anyone outside of friends (got tired of the complaints). I politely tell him i only buff rebs (since he was not one). He continues to beg, and starts swearing up and down he is not an imp. I still politely say i'm not buffing. He then says most rebels are jerkoffs and i'm making him want to go imp. I politely explain i really have no interest in which side he chooses. I'm then called all sorts of nasty names for not buffing him. I explained that i missed the part of the EULA that said i'm required to buff on demand. I stopped responding to him at that point. He then begins calling me a racist. His logic was A - I must be of a majority race and B - if i don't buff imperials i must hate all minority races. (not swg races, mind you) I play a blue mon cal, so i'm not sure where he started coming up with that stuff.

I hesitate to post his name because i've met many other people in his guild. All of them were great people and i'd hate for them to be slammed for this one guy.

I know my first mistake was even admiting i'm a doc, but how do you folks deal with people like this? Addignore is great for stoping tells, but this was all in spatial. Almost made me want to drop doc all together.
