Randomness just disappeared with the last publish (number 7). As for the amount of the non-random buff, it varies based upon the quality of the ingredients you use during the crafting process. Thus, the higher the strength the enhance kit is, the better the buff strength will be. You can also use a 110 med droid, BE clothes (caps at +25), and Bivoli (a food that goes up to +25) to enhance the buff strength. Check out the buff calc posted here last night or visit a few links for online buff calculators:

Not at all, with 823 to 829 buff packs I hit 2036 to 2051 now with my buffs with +25 wound treatment and a 110 droid.

With buff packs just over 900 and full BE clothing , droid and the food I'm hitting a solid 2400+ with every buff . Now the only question is what do I charge for these ... not much difference between these excellent buff meds and the mid 800'ish meds others generally use ... not sure how much 3 or 400 extra stat points are worth to people ....

I found them to be pretty close when I used them before the patch, but didn't use them since. Try this one then: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=doctor&message.id=39726
It's been working for my buffs and says your 935 buff packs (with 100 wound treatment, +22 Bivoli, 110 med droid, and +25 BE clothes) would be 2540.

I use that calculator and its right on.
I just made some cheap 730 power, 22 charge 3 1/2 hour duration buffs for a friend of mine using that calculator.

I am only seeing a mere 200 point or less difference with a 750 power pack than a 850 power pack. With droid, med clothes and bivoli I hit a little over 2k with the 750 packs( the same with 710 even) and get only 200 points or so higher with the 850 packs. Once you get above 750, the only difference Im seeing is duration. Doesnt seem like its worth the extra effort to get the extra 30 minutes up to 3 hours instead of 2.5 hours.

Simple because they are made with inferior components, inferior droid med module, inferior BE clothing (+25 to get ideal range) and or failures during the crafting and experimentation process, Using Bivoli definitely helps. anything over 800 base shoul dbuff you 2k or above easily.
Anything less on a base buff will be less.

I like duration for xp'ing and hunting.
With 3 1/2 hour buffs I collected 12k units of that new Dath herbivore meat on Bria today.

I like the non-randomness. One of the best things, yet.
