T,

I thought that the term 'de-buff' was DEV speak for the ability to 'overwrite' existing buffs if they were of lesser quality. Remember the 'which is better, duration or power' thread?

Is this issue still under consideration?

I remember this being stated too, that buffs would be able to be removed and reapplied, by a red name.

has anyone tried having another person kill u (duel and db) than either rez u or u clone? see if that kills the 'you already have this .....' message?

i've used this before when i got this message and it clears it right up, but i don't know if with the new changes this will still work.

just an idea......

I did last night, but didn't duel, I actually died. And from my experience 2 out of 3 times I could buff myself again, but the 1 time is all it takes to ruin your night of SWG. Even if you duel/DB, you shouldn't have to do that right after you die. If you don't like the buffs thats different, but after you just died and clonedyou should not have to Duel/DB.

I'm not sure I would want myicons tomove there because the display ofmycurrent statusshould probably stay consistent with other players in my group.

However, additionally adding the state values tothe visual buff window (I guess better called then "visualenhancement window" or "visual status window") would be useful. I know that Brawlers would love to see a Warcryremaining time value in there (if it isn't already). You could go one step further and show the time remaining on states applied to other objects (such as Intimidate).

Interestingly enough, I have already started looking for a way to get rid of the new visual buff window, so that shows what interest a permanent addition to my screen is. I'd be happy with a way to make it appear and disappear (keystrokes) whenever I wanted to (like all the other windows).

Well you can toggle the window in the interface options screen. I had to turn it on there, was looking for it right after patch and couldn't find it.

There might be a slash command for it but I wouldn't know what it is.

As for the icons- I really want to know what states my group have, so moving them to the buffs window would probably not be that good. I can look at all my groupmembers right now in the group window and see their states as well as mine.

I actually meant add, but I'm dumb.

I'm used to EQ with its 1 big box... so I have some ingrained habits.

I'd be against moving them there, but allowing them to be added there as a user-option would be fine. Especially, in the case of poison/disease, if it shows the time remaining.

As for buffs, the only problem I had was in trying to rid myself of them. Logged out, /quit, neither worked. The buff icons dissappeared but the buffs remained. Finally had to get killed to remove them so I could get a full set.

I'm not caring about debuffing really, except to fix the problem of having buffs not go away. I swear that after this last patch it has gotten worse. It's been about 7 hours since I gave myself a health buff. Still can't buff again. I used to only get this when I logged out and logged back in before the buff would have worn off. Now it seems to last all day long. I read that restarting fixes this. I can't restart now but I'll try that next and if it works I'll make sure to tell others about this. If it doesn't fix it, I won't put up with it for long. I also have my stats moved over to my mind and I HAVE to have buffs to do and combat.

I meant move the states there. they get all crowded and small on the self HAM bar... I ahve to admit I'd love to see the incap Icon bigger.. love that icon...

Just my personal musings BTW, the devs haven't asked or anything.. I'd post a thread for that.
